This is European culture at its highest. An Australian woman of Dutch descent singing a Latin hymn by St. Thomas Aquinas one of the most brilliant philosophers and theologians of all time. The hymn celebrates the bread of angels, Christ the Incarnate Son of God who gave Himself on the cross and presents Himself to us in the Eucharist. Every part of this is a masterwork of love.

This is my moms favorite song. Her sister was a professional singer in the late 30s & 40s . Mom tagged along. Mom is dying here I'm bedside playing this. Moms moving her lips 🙏❤️😇thank you Bread of angels. My mom will dine with ANGELS soon at The banquet

Thanks , mom passed away peacefully at home on Aug 25. I'm still numb, it hasn't sunk in yet. I had this song played during communion at her funeral mass. It was a beautiful send off. Now I'm cleaning out her home reliving my childhood, and it's sad but joyful. I was so blessed to have such a mom. Thank you God for giving me the pleasure of being her daughter. Save me a seat at the Lords banquet mom 😇🙏🦋 miss you so 😢💔

This is well said.--- I have enjoyed so many different types of music. From the Beatles and all the 1960's brought up to the present day. Now in my 70's I have to say the music Andre' brings to us is as good as anything I have ever listened to. The audience only adds to the resplendence.

During my younger years I was privileged, as were numerous others worldwide, to sing this Panis Angelicus, but with the second verse: Te Trina Deitas... sang it mostly at church weddings, also at funeral Masses; as well as Schubert’s Ave Maria and other sacred hymns. This was mostly in and around Selkirk Manitoba in the fifties and early sixties. Great lasting memories.

This was my fathers favorite song he told me how he sung it back when he was a boy in church, I never listened to it till after he passed and it brought tears to my eyes in it’s beauty , it was like my life seemed fuller and happier that I was blessed to listen to it , this world would be a better place if everyone would sit back and listen to it .

Our dear Cousin Jane sang this prayerful hymn at our wedding at Sts. Peter and Pauls Catholc Church, San Francisco, CA. It was the highlight of the Mass and we remember the moment, all these years later. Today, we dedicate it back to our dear Cousin.
