or when you get stuck with 9 assists and the AI just sticks to all your teammates like glue and they stand in the corner. but give you a wide open shot. smh. then when you call for a pick they switch early and then cheese you with the deflections/steals if you try the suicide pass to get that 10th assist. it's a struggle.

During a game in 1985, Larry Bird was knocking on the door of a quadruple-double at the end of the 3rd quarter, with 30 points, 12 rebounds, 10 assists and 9 steals. Bird sat out the fourth quarter, as the Celtics led 90-66 after the third quarter and won the game 110-94. When asked by reporters if he actually wanted to play in the 4th quarter to get the quadruple double, Bird said "What for? I already did enough damage." Talk about a contrast.
@jayking29199 жыл бұрын
What if he never got a steal the whole fourth? Then that stat wouldn't be as crazy.
@viperxy878 жыл бұрын
+forchamps Not really. MJ was known to go the scorer's table to check his stats. Moses Malone was accused of missing shots on purpose so he could get his own rebound. Wilt Chamberlain one season decided he was gonna lead the NBA in assists.
@SJ-di5zu8 жыл бұрын
+viperxy87 Actually that wasn't Wilt's decision; the coach told him to pass more if he wants to win so he started getting some ridiculous 25 point 25 rebound 10 assist ganes

+Don Calo Don't you dare take Wilt as Shaq. Wilt would literally own Shaq any day.
@david.tousignant207 жыл бұрын
Sachin Johri Nope, IT was Wilt Chamberlain idea to lead the league in assists because people were saying that he wasn't able to pass. So, he would try to be involved in every half court plays; yelled at his teammates when they missed shots [because he wouldn't gather the assist]; and refused to pass the ball to Chet Walker particularly because he enjoyed dribbling the ball before shooting... which of course took away his assist : books.google.ca/books?id=SVrOwbqMmvMC&pg=PA192&lpg=PA192&dq=admit+it+cat+that+were+a+much+better+club+with+you+feeding+us+part+of+the+time&source=bl&ots=zt_yC0Z5e3&sig=3h528nhaB16wK20x0OcLDtnIMMU&hl=en&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjN_6f01LbRAhWm8YMKHfk-BCEQ6AEIGjAA#v=onepage&q=admit%20it%20cat%20that%20were%20a%20much%20better%20club%20with%20you%20feeding%20us%20part%20of%20the%20time&f=true

Larry Bird was having one hell of a game against the Utah Jazz on February 18, 1985. After three quarters, the Boston Celtics were up 90-66 and Bird already had a triple-double with 30 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists. With the Celtics holding a comfortable lead, Larry Legend sat out the entire fourth quarter, even though he was one steal short of a quadruple-double. After the game, Bird was asked if he wanted to play and try to get that 10th steal. Bird said, “What for? I already did enough damage to them.” 'Nuff said.

Redundancy is something to be avoided at all times in video productions. I'm not being picky, it just makes no sense to tell me what I already see. Making a video that should take no more than 1min, into a 3 minute video, is counterproductive, and it's what you do when you NEED to explain it. Hence my 5 year old thing joke. At least he didn't go so far as shooting at his own basket, like Ricky Davis did. I think Bob Sura did, too. Or there was Anthony Bowie, who called a timeout with 2.7 seconds left with his team up by 20 to call a play for himself to get his 10th assist. If these are the sorts of things you're resorting to, it's not a legit triple double.
