I always thought Dirrell was an exceptional boxer, but his controversial loss to Froch changed everything. Moreover, he is certainly one of the best ambidextrous boxers in the history of boxing. A Andre Dirrell vs Andre Ward fight at the time would have been fantastic to see

The original matrix. Always liked his fight style he had every attribute just had bad luck on his side in big fights. He got robbed by froch in the UK and the Abraham fight was unfortunate just couldn't come back after that. All the best.

That would be a very good fight for both at this stage in their careers. The winner could be in line for a title holder. These are what all fighters should want to do. Dirrell looked good and its time for him to build on his momentum. B1.

Not sure if Dirrell looked sharp or IceCold looked Ice-Cold. Booker was scared to get hit, throwing flat footed punches. Booker looked like an amateur in there. Dirrel needs a rep fight to impress the fans. IMHO

the dirrell brothers were always hyped up to be something they werent, unfortunately they didnt train hard when they needed to and lacked heart in some fights as well....now that its past their time it looks like they want to take the game serious, but if only they had this will and desire 10 years ago.

I sincerely and respectfully hope dirrell is not fighting out of financial insecurity - and if so - where are all the Al Haymon supporters at in this case? Dirrellhas headlined and fought on some of the country’s biggest cards on major major networks...for a while...he should have more than enough money to retire, and certainly has nothing to prove as a man or fighter - he has more than earned his respect and stripes....why ? :-(

Strange how a southpaw can throw everything off when it comes to some fighters, I mean Jose Uzcategui walked through Dirrell with no regard for him being left-handed and was effective doing it, but he was aggressive, Brooker was passive. Perhaps this reveals that aggression could negate some of those lurking variables a southpaw brings to the table. Interesting fight for observation analysis.

@@superjdillydillio9040 I guess if you overwhelm an opponent in boxing you would have to be more skilled. Dirrell is a very skilled fighter with good punching power and Uzcategui made him look like an amateur. Very similar to when Benavidez defeated his brother Anthony. Benevidez was more skilled than Anthony who is a very skilled fighter in his own right.

Andre should get himself across the pond to fight Callum Smith before the world discovers Smith is done, even at 175! The beauty is a fight vs in the UK would pay dirrell decent coin, but win would set him up for good pay day against ramirez or one one of the Brit 175ers like Yarde, you know someone of that level looking for a name scalp... because based on that performance Andre is done but if he's smart he could earn a couple of pay days.

Floyd doesn't run....he uses footwork. Those who don't know anything about the sweet science say that he runs and hugs. Try mma out if you have a short attention span. Floyd literally outlanded his opponents and made them miss most of their shots. Thats what "boxing" is about.

Well, you don't need to know the sweet science of boxing in order to identify if someone is too precautious, scared and afraid to take risks and engage in toe to toe battle. I know that toe to toe is not boxing is all about, its to hit and not get hit per say. But that is not what the mass majority of fans want to see. Floyd moves around too much. He punches and then run and when he gets caught he clinches. I don't hate him btw, in fact i like watching him make other fighters miss. But if you make me choose between that and a real action fight like most pacquiao fights are. I will got with the action. If you have noticed, people like pacquiao, canelo and other toe to toe fighters gets more praises and adulation than mayweather. I have never seen them get booooeed by the crowd.. Again, no hate intended. Just saying what i have seen and observed.

@@brandonj158 did you have the chance to watch Floyd in his early years before his hands became brittle? He literally outboxed and pummeled his opponents into submission. He only became defensive after injuring his hands so much. The man has stood in the pocket with the best of them and came out victorious. Those other fighters you mentioned will end up with cte and Parkinsons disease because they stood in front of their opposition and took punishment just to please rabid fans.

Only real boxing fans like us can appreciate him but I can’t get no one into boxing by presenting them a Floyd fight. Even for pure boxing fans Floyd is a minimalist Safety first boxer not a true fighter doesn’t like to get hit. I been hit by heavyweights it’s really not that bad especially if you embrace the hits. First thing my trainer told me was “your gonna get hit” 🤷🏻♂️
