Probably one of the most well read NBA players in the league right now at the moment too. Homie quoted or made reference to like 2-3 different books within the first 5 minutes of this interview. Andre is known in the league to be one of the biggest and successful legal entrepreneurs. The Warriors dynasty is reason 1a he re-upped in the Bay Area, his Bay Area business network is probably reason 1b.

Lavar Ball's arrogant, foolish, chauvinistic, just to name a few of his ridiculous antics is simply who he is, it's not a method he used to get a platform so he can get a positive message out to young black people. We can applaud him for attempting to build and own his own shoe brand but don't make him out to be a great guy who cares about the black community, trying to teach us about ownership. It's great if any young black person was inspired by what they saw him trying to do with his shoe company, but we shouldn't allow ourselves to think that's what he set out to do.

@@TrunxKraft3000 -- I also hate the well-spoken compliment. It shouldn't be considered a talent to speak well. It should just be sad when people don't speak well. The activity most people do more than any other in their life time is to speak. Everyone should have enough practice to do it well. It isn't a compliment. It just suggests his ability to speak well surprised you enough for you to say he spoke well out loud.
@semi6544
@semi6544 5 жыл бұрын
@Aristides Gonzalez -- The comment well spoken doesn't refer to how you sound or has anything to do with accents. I used to receive the well spoken compliment a lot. The other version of the comment is you speak white. I was also similar to Andre referring to being in class as the only black student in classes while still playing ball with people that wouldn't be in those same classes. If someone is intelligent, the better compliment is, "he is so intelligent". He is well-spoken implies we are surprised to see someone who looks like that would sound so intelligent and proper. Well this is my very biased opinion based on experience. I'm sure the person giving that compliment hasn't that much about it. People who have received the compliment really don't feel it's much of a compliment.

I have a lot of respect for this guy. He is giving us an inside view. He is a great story teller! I usually can’t listen to long interviews especially sports but he captivated me the whole time. This is your next calling, story telling & educating the masses 🙌. He is so conscious glad to hear he is into meditation too!

I believe they traded him because of this interview. Just like what they did with Mark Jackson. He said a lot of stuff that they don't want us to hear about the warriors

One of the best interviews I’ve seen on the breakfast club ever. He was not afraid to speak up, but he did dodge the KD and Golden State question, is Golden State responsible for his injury. My level of respect for Andre Iguodala has tremendously gone through the roof. #StayBlack !!!!!!!!!
