Not only was Andre the premier draw before there was ever a Hulkamania. He was liked & respected by all. Can't say that about most of the wrestlers, including snitch, 2 faced Hogan. Oh & gotta say this. Andre's 1 acting role in Princess Bride is more memorable than any other wrestler's attempt including the Rock. Cena & Batista might have a chance.

Fun Fact: he and Ric Flair got signed together in 1972. Less fun fact: I was born on January 28th 2003, which is exactly 10 years after Andre's death, January 28th 1993

The first inductee to the WWE Hall of Fame, he was a mountain of a man who climbed an even greater mountain of adversity... The TRUE People's Champion, even if he only held the actual world title for a *miniscule* amount of time. Powerful, most of all by the virtue of his kindness, rather than his physique... Undeniably the GREATEST wrestling legend of all time, and in my opinion, THE greatest loss that the sports entertainment world at large suffered during my lifetime. Over 7 feet tall and weighing in at 500 pounds, he was The Eight Wonder of the World... ANDRE... THE GIANT!!! There will never be another one like you. 😿
