Why would Canelo want to fight the man that got beat by the man he knocked out? Canelo knocked out Kovalev who actually beat Andre Ward but got robbed in that first fight, and then Ward had to rely on low blows to win the rematch. It wouldn’t make sense for Canelo to waste his time with Ward.

Andre Fraud is the biggest hype job in boxing. Son of Showtime loved a hometown ref and decision. Retired rather than face the likes of Bivol and Beterbeiev as he knew they would beat him easily. Andre I do understand. I did the comeback, little did I know I had Multiple Sclerosis(ms) and I got cut in the first round with a butt and got my first draw so 2 months later we fought again. I lost the second fight and figured something wasn’t right. I was right this guy never beat me MS got the best of me!! I miss the sport. It’s what ai grew up doing!! I don’t watch everyday boxing but big fights I do. I don’t pay for any fights!! Just showtime. If it’s on Showtime I will watch them. Fight tickets cost way too much for retired fighter and now since I stopped coaching I don’t go to fights. I miss being there and being around great friends!!

Canelo vs Ward is the dream fight, in their primes. I wouldn’t want Ward to come out of retirement for it though. Canelo usually has trouble with technical boxers and that switch would’ve caused him problems. Canelo is also hard to hit, moves good and packs a good punch. Would’ve been a great fight that I think would’ve went to the cards. I also though Crawford vs Spence would’ve been good and looked how that turned out. So who knows 😂

Lot of Ward hate in the comments. Ward is in the Hall of Fame, multi divsion champion, last American Olympic boxing gold medalist, who went after that Kovelav fight when Kovelav was the best that Light Heavyweight divsion had to offer. He's had an incredible career and stands out among champions, he deserves more respect than this. If him and Canelo fought, it would have been a fight.

I had to come to the comment section because I knew I would hear crazy stuff and I wasn’t disappointed. I will see some Canelo fans that are true boxing fans, but I’m seeing that a majority of his fans are fans of him and casual at best. 3 years ago I said that Bivol would beat Canelo easily and he would do it in a fashion that he would do it in. How do I know?? Because I’ve been watching boxing for over 30 years, I’ve boxed myself and I’m a fan of the sport. I follow many fighters and I’m able to recognize levels. With that said, Ward is a couple of levels above Bivol. Ward would have dominated Canelo easier and he would’ve been capable in beating him in a number of ways. Canelo is a good fighter, but his fans are what they are. They’re fanatics. The guy is a product of match making. Every difficult fight he’s had he either lost or robbed the guy.

Everybody talking about the first fight with Kov. After that knock down what did Kov do? Dre neutralized his offense and was more busy Kov got our hussled. Top fighters know how to win it's a mental game not just skills.
