We played this song at my dad's funeral last year, some may say 'what a strange choice' but this was my dad's favourite song that he always sang after a few drinks and I can tell you Andrea Bocelli's voice completely filled the St Francis Xavier church in Liverpool and could only be described as perfection, now everytime I hear it, it makes me feel sad and happy at the same time. A beautiful melody!!!!

Awe... I've always sang this song to my daughter since she was a newborn & up to this day I still sing it to her before she goes to bed (she'll be 12 this year). My grandmother loved this song & would always tell me when I was little this song was about a poppy flower. Beautiful song & a beautiful voice to go along with it as well.

I listened to this in Central America before moving to the US, then grew up on Amapola Ave, and my grandmother walked around the house softly singing it. Such fond and gentle memories.
