You are right that his Spanish (really Castilian) is from Latin America. He does not sing like a Spaniard. Julio Iglesias is a good example of the difference. I lived in Spain for years and you can easily tell the difference. Also NEVER go to Spain and say I speak Spanish. There is NO such language. They will correct you real fast. It is Castilian. Depending on what area of Spain you are visiting, they can become very offended.
