Ms Motis breaks at least three axioms of jazz and big band swing: "musicians are lousy singers", "singers are fumble-fingered musicians", and "women are lousy soloists" Don't fuss at me, I didn't originate those, time and history did, but Andrea Motis is proof that axioms can be broken .... once in a great while. I can only imagine Joan Chamorro's pride in both Andrea and Èlia Bastida, having cultivated the talent in these two since they were early teens. That smile you see on his face is that of a proud papa, and rightly so.

Great concert! Grazie Museos de Tenerife. I would say the young ladies are in full musical bloom but - can't yet - they still have a long way to go and get better and better - just imagine some years more down the line how great they will be.... Couple guys new to me but great - on piano and strings/vocal. Now those other guys I know, Esteve and maybe the guy in the print shirt - that print shirt guy - looks just like the Great black shirt guy Joan Chamorro! Maybe it's his cousin, anyway, they are both very good!!
