I understand you, friend. Its not that that this time doesn't have promise, or that the past was a necessarily better, but I was a kid back then, still mostly oblivious that friends and family are lost as the years go by, and that some great experiences can be had once and only once.

I can't say the 70s were better than the 60s, but I will argue they were equally the best decades in music history. I put the 50s and 80s about even also, but a step lower. After that, the 90s and the 40s I suppose. Post 90s forget it, music is over.

Disco done right is one of the classiest and even musically intricate genres out there. Everyone discounts it for cheesy lyrics and boring repetitive production. Not the case. Especially on songs like this with full bands and sexy, seductive vocals ❤️‍🔥 Clocking in at 3min, 11s this gorgeous track is far too short! I could easily listen to a 6-10min version. Probably a 12" vinyl release that did just that. Which is another great gift from the age of Disco... the 12" single! With extended, instrumental, dub, and a cappella tracks to cut remixes on the fly! Always wish I could've been alive during this age... maybe one day they'll build a time machine!!

The 1970s disco craze is probably the best era in music history. Just look at the clubs the atmosphere back, then compared to nowadays, no comparison.. disco will live forever, and it does in the form of Dua Lipa, Calvin Harris, David Guetta, Lizzo, Kylie, Minogue a lot of today’s music would be considered disco back in the day.

@@transitfan954 I'm not surprised Casey never mentioned that, as American Top 40 was nationally syndicated. Children listened, who would have asked parents what adult films are, and parents would have then asked where they heard of them. He was careful in other ways, too. Several years later was one of the rare times he sounded displeased to have to announce a song and its title, when The Knack's "Baby Talks Dirty" reached #38. By the way, I love disco and Andrea True Connection.
