Very nice! The mid sound on the original recording is kind of magic and even Kee does not remember the exact recipe: "I used a Marshall plexi, modified by Tommy Folkesson. L'Arriveé guitars - a strat and a tele + a sixstring acoustic. The mid boost, which was integrated in the head, was designed by Tommy Folkesson, Mats "Drutten" Gran and myself. This created the typical OOTW guitar sound, and I gotta say, I've never heard something quite like it. Almost the timber of a flute. Unfortunately neither Me, Tommy or Drutten recalls how we did this - I guess that secret is forever lost!"

Hey Michael! Thank you are too kind, I really appreciate it and I'm glad you liked it! I don't really see the sense of doing solos as close to the original, once I did it, now ... I don't give much importance to this thing anymore, so much the original will always be written by the original author, so in the end 😊 I have so many covers here on my channel, but I've always tried to put some of my playing inside. Hello. Sorry to bother you. Just a little question. I mostly learned by myself because I cant afford classes. Pentatonic scales are the only ones I know. There are so many types of modes and scales that i,m going crazy. Could you please tell me which should i practice to play this great solo? Is pentatonic enough? Thanks for your time and don't worry, I wont send you more questions but I needed someone professional to answer me. Thanks and best wishes.

@@ferpirata76 Hello Fernando! Do not disturb at all, ask what you want when you want :) I would suggest the minor scale and the major scale, maybe play them in all the keys, in order to become familiar with the positions on the whole neck. I hope to be proved helpful! All my best.

Hello Kim! 😊 Thank you very much for the nice words! You are very kind! I am happy to know that this tutorial is useful for you to learn this solo which, as you said, is truly among the most beautiful ever written! Regarding the fast part it is just practical. If I can I allow myself to give you some advice, after having learned the positions, the notes of that passage, isolate that part and practice only on that. Start slowly and then speed it up. You will see that the results then arrive! 😊 Thanks again and good work! 😊✌️🎸

@@AndreaMaccianti Hi again! Sorry to bother you. But can I ask how long did you practice to make the big speed run at the end of the solo? I haven’t got any experience with shredding, but just double picking. I use a metronome, and i’ve can get the speed up to a ok speed, but still a long way to get to the solo’s intended speed. How long do you think I would have to practice?. I’ve listen to your advice to practice only sections of that run 🤘🤘🤘😊
@AndreaMaccianti
@AndreaMaccianti 3 жыл бұрын
@@kim-andresandnes5749 Hey Kim! Do not disturb at all! The use of the metronome is essential. I recommend that you start by performing that passage starting from a speed of 60 BPM by playing it in quarters then one note per beat. Subsequently for eighths two notes per beat and finally in sixteenths four notes per beat. Otherwise only for quarters gradually increasing the BPM. The key thing is quality, you have to be able to hear every single note of that passage. Because if you do it fast but badly, you better not do it 😊 Keep me updated! For anything else, feel free to ask! Good work my friend! 🤘💪🎸

@@AndreaMaccianti it's not that it's bad I like it, it's just that without having it be in parts: like A,B, C etc... it's a bit difficult to know when a new part begins and when he's just sort of repeating what he just did
