Breathtaking scene from BBC series "War and Peace". I do not own anything.

The first time I watched this series I was upset about Andrei and Natasha not working out. But this scene really shows how much Pierre loves her. He loves her and wants to see her happy, even if it's with someone else. He even risks his friendship with Andrei and tries to convince him to forgive her one more time. The casting in this series was just perfect! I loved it! What other series can make you deeply feel every possible emotion?

There is only one other that I can compare my reaction to and that is Resurrection: Ertugrul on Netflix.

“Was it all an illusion?” God damn, such a relatable way of expressing doubt about whether the woman you’ve fallen for is real or a vision of something we’ve seen through them 😩

UK really has some of the best actors.

YES, and I'm American. We don't make good movies because Hollywood thinks it has to use just a few "stars." Most of the chosen ones are wrong for their roles, and some are just good for certain types of movies. Britain does all the best work, with the right actors.

Yes we do. And they play their characteristics so well in this.

In the book, actually Andrei gets angry to his friend Pierre, and they just talk about war then Andrei asks Pierre to live. And main part of the spoken words by Andrei in this scene, happens after Pierre’s leaving and when Andrei is in his chamber and thinking about Natasha, life and meaning of all this.

I can see why they changed it though. Internal monologues seldom work well in a film adaptation. This feels more natural.

Why couldnt he forgive her 😭😭💔💔
@vinista2563 жыл бұрын
Because, despite his protestations to the contrary, it wasn't her soul he loved. It was her youth and innocence. Pierre was the one who truly loved her soul.

No he forgives her at the end and also asked for her forgiveness for being so cold towards her. When he died, he accepted everything that happened, and even forgave Kuragin. He had a sweet death because his lover and his sister were right beside him regardless of all the chaos that had been going around them.

He did at the end. Throughout the book he was unhappy and sad, and always looking for something. Natasha was the only one who truly made him feel happy. When Kuragin tried to take her it broke Andrei's heart. To the point where he felt like he had nothing to live for, which is why he didn't move out of the way of the shell. In the end he forgave her and was finally sorrounded by his family that he repelled for so long. I think he had a good death.

@@ammm-wq2mz Mostly agree, but French Amy were aimed at making all of the European Empires to accept French domination and make them regret to declare war on France after their transitilon to constitutional parliamentary monarchy during 1791. They fought a lot in foreign lands but they did fight for "national pride of their own" and "conquering peace".

@@scepticsquirrel France tried to get through Russia to the English colonies, India in particular. Ordinary soldiers were simple illiterate people. At home many had nothing, they went for a career and money. Scientists estimate that there are several hundred thousand ordinary French soldiers who remained in Russia after the war and disappeared into the Russian people 20 years later.
