Thank you very much, I changed the hdd in my bosses laptop for an SSD, everything working good. Although the procedure is pretty straitforward, I always like to take a look at the interior of the laptop before I start it.....

Sry but, a sata cable or interface should not be advisable to buy? i have a 5745g and i'm not sure, back then , if those modern SSD drives were already supported...i suppose that the the old one is an IDE one...or not? tnx

What is the max ram you can upgrade this laptop? I have heard it is only 8gb

max 8gb+8gb DDR3-1333, DDR3-1600, only 8GB memory modules must have 8 chips on one side (16 chips on both sides). 8GB modules with 4 chips are not suitable. You can also replace the processor - install i7-2630qm

Gabrielle Martignago it's a Kingston 2.5 inch SATA III, 120GB

Dear Andre, thanks for the video. Can be a larger SSD drive as well, like a SanDisk SSD PLUS 240GB Sata III 2,5 inch for example, right? As long as has a SATA III interface it should work.

I would not go bigger than 1TB
