When I was in the U.S.Army (Inf.) everyone black, white, yellow, brown, red loved Dice! Everyone!! That was in the late 80’s. We all imitated him. We all laughed at his jokes and skits. Then a few years later MTV bans him for life? What a bunch if hypocrites. He is a comical genius . He made fun of but still had a heart. He clearly didn’t deserve to be crapped on because he said what many felt but did it hilariously! I’d pay to see his live act any day of the year! He’s up there with the best of all time!

I think Dice holds onto the fact that he was one of the first comedians to cross over into the mainstream and sell out stadiums. Now that Sebastian is the it boy, Dice feels he is responsible somewhat. The fact is, is that Sebastian is Italian as well. So of course they have a similar cadence. But Sebastian’s comedy is more intricate and “real world”.

@@JunkyardKid his jokes, period. If you saw Sam & Dice years ago you'd know that. Dice was basic and was more of an impressionist with a weird act, it wasn't until Dice started to copy Sam's vulgarity and style that he began to get some success. Sam had a coat he always wore, his beret, and his tone of comedy which wasn't anything like Dice...then all of a sudden Dice is wearing a leather coat like the Fonz, talking like Stallone, acting like John Travolta whom he imitated often, and the list can go on and on...Dice was funny, but he needed other people to create his act, Sam could walk into pretty much any Comedy Club back then and tear the house down..he was a natural entertainer with a gift for creating comedy out of thin air, Dice could never do that then or now.
@EVRYMANaKING

It felt like he was bragging a little bit when answering some of the questions: His encounter with Sinatra... his being too famous to live in Brooklyn after playing Madison Square Garden (which, by the way -- puh-leeze -- like he really couldn't have found SOMEPLACE to live in privacy in all of Brooklyn?!). And if these stories are any indication that he may have had some success back in the day, it can be noted, it was DEFINITELY short-lived. And that's a FACT! Only in recent years has he altogether been rescued from obscurity.

Dice's health gives some cause for concern, despite his tough guy image -- he had "some sort of retina problem" in his early fifties, before Blue Jasmine, which sounds an awful lot like diabetic detachment -- then, four years later (2017-ish), he downplayed a "pinched nerve artery thing" in Vegas, but, in fact, it was some sort of cardiac incident sufficient to put him into convalescence for months. He's 61 yrs old in this interview, and he's wearing those miles hard.
