I would like to point that the A-Series has no support for changing its velocity curve, and the default one is terrible. You have to hammer the key to get full velocity, or use Fixed Velocity and always get full velocity notes. They do it to force you into buying the S-Series, which allows you to customize the curve. Think twice and search the forums if key sensitivity is important for you (it is for me, and unfortunately, I didn't find out about this before buying, otherwise I would have gone to another brand even though I like NI / KK products).

Hi Eduardo, do you happen to know if they've updated this? Sounds awful... Like... does this mean you would have to use a velocity-changing plugin every time you plug this in for that to work?

Just picked this up - the Komplete integration is great. Finally makes sense to use those instruments now. ***BUT*** - and this is a big one for me - there are no user definable velocity curves. I keyboard drum fast/techy prog metal and I'm worried I'll shake this thing to pieces inside of a year if I can't choose a softer touch. Shocking that every keyboard I've owned for the last 5+ years has had this option, but this one doesn't. I'm gonna keep it because as I say, I like the integration. And it's also the FIFTH keyboard I've had in my possession this year (extraordinarily bad run of luck with controllers and pitch wheels). So I don't have the appetite for another change. For now I'll have to use MIDI plugins on all my instrument channels but really disappointed NI could leave such a basic, fundamental feature out. Especially when, from what I can tell, it's possible on the S series.

@@thatbrodycam9075 I actually just bought a used version of the A49 from Guitar Center, and I actually have the opposite problem. I find that i can get max velocity notes TOO easy, so i approach mine with a lighter touch. But I dont see a problem with not being able to achieve max velocity anyway? like once the notes are recorded, highlight all the notes and bump the velocity to max???

Someone who wanted to make an affordable NI controller came up with the design. Since my head will be in my DAW anyway, the screen size on the controller is a non-issue. I'd rather save money and not have an obsolete $600 controller in 2 years.

I would like to see this used along with the MK3. I have a Korg synthesizer I use as controller keyboard but I would like to see how much easier the workflow would be using A series as a controller.

can someone tell me the sequence with the keys he's playing at <a href="#" class="seekto" data-time="232">3:52</a>? I want to replicate it, but it doesn't seem like that segment of the vid is synced with the audio, so the key strokes don't correspond with what I'm hearing, and there's too much going on for me to figure it out. How do I access the sustain pedal features? By default, the pedal is backwards (with out stepping on the pedal, the keys sustain and stops when i step on the pedal. I'm looking for it to do the exact opposite). Any insight?

I have the A25! Amazing! But I can't find any info regarding transpose semi tone with the device. And Control Editor still not able to control A-series keyboard yet. Am I correct? Or someone can enlighten me? Thanks!

Hi, I own a Pioneer DDJ T-01 console loaded with audio4dj sound controller, Mac Book Pro with native instruments Traktor pro software. Now can I add this komplete kontrol A25 or A49 to make new sound with the DDJ.? Or I need a seperate computer again.?

I'm trying to decide between this and the S49 MK2. I plan on using it through ableton and also using a Maschine MK3. Anyone think that since the Maschine already has a lot of the same features as the S49, the A49 makes sense to go with and save some money? Main differences I think are the screens, touch strip, midi i/o, and lighting for keys. Am I wrong?

Hmm I'm still on the fence to get this... i have a machine studio and if I get the A-series, will the knobs on keyboard work with the 2 screens on my machine studio? (Example: if I push browse on the A-series, will the screens on my machine studio show the browser screen as well? Hope this makes sense)

Hi Andrew, going through Kontakt searching the bass sounds, I haven't found the sound that I am looking for yet - I'm searching for sounds, samples of a twelve string bass guitar. Are you familiar with the Komplete upgrades? I only have one, what came with MK2 S49 and the first Komplete 12 so far. October first NI Komplete 13 will be for sale to buy - knowing that you support NI, could you help me out letting me know if any, which Komplete has the 12 string bass guitar? I would really appreciate your time and help! Thank you!

I have the Komplete Kontrol a25 and its not integrating with the maschine 2 software. It's just behaving as a standard midi controller. I don't see the komplete kontrol browser in Maschine or anything. I want to be able to use the chords and scales on the a25 but sequence inside Maschine. Do I need to install that Maschine essentials for it to work. The crazy thing is it works great inside my mpc software and logic. Just not maschine.

Yeah is small - this line is meant to be budget version. I own MK 1 KK88 and even with lcd's under each knob i still prefer looking at monitor screen.

Interesting product, I apologize in advance if I make a slightly off-topic reference, but it would be useful to understand how your plugins work with 192khz sound cards. I refer to the fact of the quality of Konkact sounds, it is not clear if the sounds take advantage of the sound cards with bitrates at 192kHz or work exclusively at 44.1 - 48 kHz.

Nice Board for production. What are they coming out with for stage performance. I'd like to be able to switch sounds and even layer sounds during a performance. I use a different controller but like the feel of the semi weighted keys.

You will be able to do this in 2023 when Native Instruments start paying more attention to their software design. They are a sounds and preset company now.

thanks Andrew. Very helpful. With VSTs in Logic Pro, the A25 encoders only work with volume. Should the work with other controls too? Also, the big round encoder to browse through presets on works occasionally. Is there something i need to do to make browsing work?

When I go to the preferences, Edit, I don't know how to set the midi mode, it doesn't indicate any. Why ? I will keep assigning the knobs with one of my programs, thanks
