James Kalm occasionally has the privilege of bringing viewers video reports presenting works by contemporary artists that he's become acquainted with over decades. Andrew Masullo has long been an inspirational creative force within the painting community. His legion of fans bare testament to his popularity. Using flat forms and high-keyed color, his deceptively simple compositions have all the wit and humor of non-objective visual puns. These smallish paintings are a celebration of painterly skill and a unique vision. Includes an interview with Andrew Masullo and cameo appearance by fan Jerry Saltz.

@roykogan Thanks for your response to sunshiner9. I deleted his posts and blocked him and his buddy. I have no problem with people offering honest criticism of the work, even if I totally disagree with it. That's one of the main functions of the channel. But stupid personal attacks on the individual artists will not be tolerated, thanks, James Kalm

@bueno3963 The James Kalm report is like a conceptual project, governed by rules. One of the first rules is that the work of Loren Munk will never be featured on the Kalm Report. I've posted over 500 vids over many years and that rule still holds I'll leave the self-promotion to others, thanks

I agree with what he says about living in NYC which he implies having felt like an animal instead of human and a person in more liveable San Francisco.Hw was wise to move.

@Cre8iveSignWorks Maybe because they are battling against a world of negativity and indifference.

@mjdosz yes i understand what you are saying and i dont mind people getting (what i consider) over paid for their work....good luck to them i say. it just seems that the more you baffle people with bullshit - the more you get paid. thanx 4 your comment on my work too by the way cheers

@bearbutt9 i hate these art galleries who promotes this grade school 'art' as real art. i think most of the people show up just for the free wine.

The expression is "To each their own." Masullo makes great painting but YOU can't even form a proper sentence!

nice video james but i didnt like his paintings! (for what my opinion is worth) good for him if he can sell them at those rediculous prices, but why do all these arty farty types have to be so up themselves?
