i cleaned a barn and house on a property in colorado that had a bunch of deadheads as owners. the house had a shroom grow room in the basement, and we found a block of somthing, old guy said it was lsd or something idk. also found coke and a bunch of loose weed along with 20 packs of cigs. I cleaned it a few years ago when i was in high school, even got a bunch of their stickers of various sizes and colors.

Long Strange Trip is one best music documentary's ever. Glad i was able to see a couple of shows when i was kid. Not the best era of the band but certainly a magical show. I've been listening more and more to the Jerry Garcia Band. I think people who don't like the Dead might in enjoy JGB.

The Grateful Dead were basically pioneers of some thing that no one else was doing and now is heavily copied as far as the way you might go into a show as a band. I saw Carlos Santana probably like five times in my life and I’m not a huge Santana fan, but I saw him once or twice and then one year in between Grateful Dead tours we didn’t know what to do so we went on, a little bit of the Carlos Santana tour in northern California and I hit a few shows and we just got the tickets for free and every show was exactly the same. He even said the same things in between songs. But the Grateful Dead, you never knew what they were gonna pull out. It was always exciting and you would want to go to every show because there’s always some song you hadn’t heard them do and you never knew when it was going to come up. And yeah, some of the shows were a little bit vanilla, but when they were on and everybody was feeling good and they were hot, it was like nothing else. The thing is they toured more than any other band. Most bands would do like one tour, maybe two tour a year if that or they would only tour when they put out a new album to promote the album, but the Grateful Dead did the winner tour, a summer tour, a spring tour and a fall tour. And when the Grateful Dead weren’t playing every weekend, you could see Jerry Garcia play in San Francisco when he wasn’t doing a Jerry Garcia Band tour. You could see Jerry, every couple of weeks basically if you wanted to most of the time and when somebody is playing that often there’s gonna be some bad nights maybe they got no sleep or they’re sick. The thing is he always showed up more than anybody else that I know of. so there are gonna be some bad nights and there are gonna be some great nights and as long as you show up enough eventually you’re gonna be blown away.💀

And 1 other question...I'm a big fan of psychedelic rock like the doors and jimmy Hendrix but I also like joy division the killers the gorillaz...Could someone tell me If they think I would like the grateful dead???
