I know some of the viewers will have noticed this, but Andrew used the blower clips to tie all the individual days together, excellent way to put the clips in line. His filming is always next level, he really can tell a story without much speaking to even mention. He was being compared as an operator to other KZfaq guys who run equipment, but what they missed is it is his camera and editing these other folks lack. And critically it is all done on his own, he's had short stints of help but that's it. It's him.

For your new castle, please consider pumping the concrete up from the bottom. I built pump trucks for Schwing for many years. We invented this technique. The form bracing is a little more intense but it is worth it. You can pump all the walls in one day. Plus they will be stronger. The ram action of the pump eliminates the need for vibration and the top almost finishes itself. Please also do the math on renting a 14 or 20 yard batch plant. You could use your own shale chips for aggregate. Hope this helps. Thanks for the great content. I have learned so much and always entertained!

Absolutely awesome close in job on the open sided shed. Definitely far more useful than it was. I do wonder why Andrew didn't use ICF construction so it would behave a high R insulation factor so he could heat it in wibter and cool it in summer when he's working on vehicles on the lift and other projects. It's also impervious to various forms of degradation. Wood is not and has very little R factor insulation. No mat, they did an awesome job closing it in.
@SoleEpiphany4 ай бұрын
No trouble knowing that truck wasn’t owned by the driver, what a mug🙄🤣
@LisaMedeiros-tr2lz4 ай бұрын
@@pinwizz69 Unless ICF went all the way up, that is a large building to insulate. The roof is uninsulated. The right way would have been to put in radiant heat in the floor, but the first section was done long ago. That is a very large space to heat. If he wants to work on a machine in the winter and be warm, he has a big heated bay in the castle. The only thing lacking is the lift for cars and trucks is in the outside garage. He could get one of those rolling lifts for the castle bay though if he wanted to cover that base for far less than insulating and heating the workshop. A shop like that would take forever to go from cold to heated as large as it is, so it would need to be at least partially heated all winter. Probably not worth it.

Seemed like a long period between vids. as usual i enjoyed every minute of this one. Andrew far exceeds Hollywood films & no commercials. Very talented man & film maker. I have watched for several years & his clarity of filming, speech & content are out standing. Looking forward to the next one. Thank you Andrew.

When I 1st saw this video was over 3 hours, Usually, I wouldn't take the time to watch, but I've always wanted to see you finish that lean to and wow! What a killer transformation! Your dad must be extremely proud of you and your accomplishments, Andrew! Can't wait to see you building your new castle!

At the end there, I noticed the Tonka trucks up there. That your dad probably bought you when you were younger. Now he’s relaxin, helping you putting away your new tools….. Nothing better than that!

Andrew you should put in Ballard s in front of all the center supports for the garage openings or sooner or later some one will clip the support and damage the supports for the roof ! I had a corner of my house hit by vehicles all the time until I installed a Ballard in three places ! No more hits

Hi Andy, just a little tip about hydraulic lines. When I would take lines apart, I had some of the old telephone wires that were all different colors and would put matching wires for all the connections, so reassembly was a no brainer. That little trick is so helpful when doing multiple line removal. Anyway, the work you do is great, and your self motivation is really fantastic. Keep up the great videos, Thanks . There is a throwback culture in upstate NY. I remember driving from NJ to a little town North of Syracuse in 1986 and thinking it was like the 1940's still up there. Now it's probably a bit like the 1980's. hehe.

I had cement board siding (Hardiboard) installed on my house in May 2013. Eleven years later, it is still maintenance-free. Even the paint still looks great - no flaking at all and seems to hold up well to the sun. It might need a paint job at the 20 year mark but maybe not. Never regretted the decision to go with it. Your building project really turned out well - especially the concrete.
