OUTSTANDING! Welcome to the Men's Club. Shaved heads are liberating. When I first did mine my wife at that time, who I lost to Cancer in 2018, said she had enough of my complaining. We buzzed cut my head and at that point I pulled out the razor and just shaved it. She said to me: "You're former military, you should be used to this. Now you can stop whining." It was the best thing I ever did. Do you realize how much I save not having to see a hair stylist? I can now go to Europe for two weeks.

Thank you!!!!!! I moved next door to an old art teacher and found out I could draw at 62, then searched KZfaq to learn everything I could get my eyes on and found you, you have been such an inspiration to me, your easy to listen to and understand, I absolutely love your work. I love to draw portraits, people and pets, I’m 68 and playing with different mediums for color, I will always be watching your videos to keep learning. Thank you for taking your journey, because you did you greatly impacted my life in art 🤗

Andrew, I was a burnt-out, sick health worker at the beginning of 2020. I had been an artist in college, but once I started work and our babies came, I gave up on most of my art. I found your channel at the beginning of Covid and am now a budding professional artist. I am sooo much happier. Your portrait, still-life and studio set up videos were truly inspirational. I will also never forget your composition video! Thank you for sharing your love and craft with us. ❤

Andrew I have watched I think- EVERY video and ALL have helped me in one way or another. Thank you for all you do ! I am much like you in that I love helping others learn. I can only do that because I have been taught by a few of the BEST, and you are one of them. I love your sense of humor, your studio designs, lighting ideas, ALL OF IT!! You are a true inspiration. I just turned 70 on 1/18/2023. I have wanted to do this all my life but between non supportive husbands (married 2x) and family I was held back. I am currently living with my oldest daughter of 2 . She has given me the opportunity to paint my heart out. I have done some wildlife art (others think are photos - even a judge at a small town show-who refused to place me because she thought it was a photo print) . Not giving up - Not going to quit !! You inspire me and I am sure THOUSANDS AND THOUSANDS of others!!! Thank you.

I want to thank you Andrew, for helping me refocus and find my passion in art again. I'm the first in my family in many generations to try and make the arts not just a hobby or passion but a means of living. Thank you for demonstrating that it can be done, and opening yourself up and sharing more about the behind the scenes and where you've been on this journey in your last few videos. Going through your old portfolio hit close to home with me. I was not raised around others who considered the arts a viable career path, or perhaps didn't know enough about it to be confident in it as a career choice. Looking back I can see signs of my parents... not necessarily discouraging it but not necessarily encouraging it either. Today I just finished my 7th commission, and while I'm still slightly broke, it's building a body of work I can use to showcase my talents and move forward. For the first time in my life, instead of just getting compliments from my family, I'm now being encouraged by them. Thank you! God bless🙏 (Next step: Moving out of my mother-in-law's!)

I swear I can feel my mirror neurons working when I watch Andrew's videos, I was learning from him and others for years before my lifestyle allowed me to pick up a brush and put it into practice. Well, Andrew, today is 01,23,23 and my birthdate is 01, 23, 45. I am relaxing over my coffee and breakfast while taking the time to watch your video about your you tube journey. I did not realize when I first pulled up the portrait video that it was your first! I have been broadcasting your name and talent ever since. Even on seeing that the first time, I recognized that here was a down to earth person who has a unique ability to get the important things across to the viewer. I most appreciated that you did not waste my time slowly belaboring things that I already knew or could learn in other ways. You demonstrated the real stuff of painting. I have been with you ever since and all my students know your name. I now have five of your CD’s and review them often. Thank you for sharing the ups and downs of your journey with your family. It is not easy to shed light on those things but the people who watch your videos care about you,,,at least, I do. Even so, I try to stay out of your way and not take up too much of your time. I just really appreciate what you have shared. I feel like I know you as a person, someone who knows me too. I know there must be limits in a world of a million viewers. Again, I just want to thank you for maintaining a real connection in a world where most are trying to be super human and super star, not real at all. Hugs, Diana

I can only echo others' sentiments and add a few of my own. I have reviewed several other artists' KZfaq channels and their attendant videos and I can assure you that your channel and videos are simply the best. I've been an artist off and on for most of my life, but due to a rather demanding career in Health Care I have never been able to get serious about it. So I really appreciate what and how you teach. I've suffered through presentations on what should have been very engaging classes but instead bored me to tears because the teacher simply couldn't teach. You not only can do art extremely well, but you can translate that knowledge into a very relatable format that exudes very positive enthusiasm. I've watched about all of your videos, some more than once, like your color mixing tutorials . I'm now 67 years young and yes, you can teach an old dog new tricks. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Just keep on keeping on.

Congratulations, Andrew! I don't know why you came into my life at this particular time, but I can say that you were "sent". Lots of crazy family stuff going on, getting older, all causes of putting me in a dark place. I had pretty much stopped painting and drawing, and was just lazing around, with no energy and no ambition. When I started watching you I immediately began to perk up and I realized that painting was about the only thing that both calmed me and stimulated me, if that makes sense. Anyway, I'm so much more inspired now and I am painting like never before and enjoying it so much, all due to watching and listening to you. Thanks for sharing! Just so you know, your reach is beyond just realistic painters. I'm a mixed media acrylic artist who's focus is just birds. You're videos have turned me on to dagger brushes and thinking deeper about color relationships and for that THANK YOU!

Your Rose Garden painting is my favorite work by a contemporary artist. It inspired me to up my figure-painting game. Now, a couple of years later, I think that I might actually realize my lifelong dream of being a professional artist. Thank you, and I'll be waiting for the next video!

I was there at the beginning (no idea what my handle was) & honestly, I knew nothing about how the video 'should be'. All I cared about was that you & your art were good. Fine job, all the years 🎉

You deserve it, Andrew. You do great work and you've put in time. Your podcast is great, too. Also, Burne Hogarth is one of my favorites, as well. "Dynamic Figure Drawing" really opened my mind to letting go and being more free with the dynamics of the figure. Keep up the great work, Brother. God bless you and your family, and continue to prosper you as you go and grow. 🙏

Congratulations on your well deserved 500K+ subscribers! I'm in the U.S. and I love being a part of your Patreon community of artists around the world. Heartfelt thanks for sticking with us, for sharing your journey, and your amazing artistic talent, and your excellent, insightful teaching skills. Your Patreon tutorials contain sooo much valuable ancillary art related content; and continually help me work out technical painting challenges, as I push myself to "level up" in my quest to improve my oil painting.

When I first learned how to paint in 2017, one of the first things I did was search “learning oil painting” on KZfaq and these videos popped up. I have learned a ton and love this video looking back.

Dear Andrew, I was searching on You Tube how to paint fur and found your new video with the 2 dogs and your kitty way back when. Your sense of humor drew me in, and I felt like I knew you. Your skills are out of this world. I am a proud Patreon member and have learned tons from you. I would LOVE more still life's and more fur! You are an excellent teacher, mentor, friend. Thank you and I'm a fan for life. Love to beautiful Rachel and Hugo. YOU are the BEST!

Thanks so much for all you’ve done for us. I have learned so much form your tutorials. As an artist friend of mine said, “I’ve learned more from KZfaq videos than I did from 5 years in art school.” To answer a question you asked, yes I would like some still life tutorials! I haven’t done more than three, and my biggest struggle has been trying to represent reflective surfaces, e.g. a silver teapot.

Thank you for thanking your subscribers. Obviously, I'm one of them. But really I want to thank you. You've helped me find the painter in me. I'll never be a totally realistic artist, I started out painting my dogs, and I've completed a few for my husbands colleagues. I did an art degree when I was 40 but ended up teaching textiles technology in a high school. I have MS, fibromyalgia, and Arthritis so my teaching career didn't last long. Thank you so much for what you have given me x
