Here's a video showcasing the different Android boot animations from Google's flagship Nexus lineup, starting from the Nexus One's boot animation on Android 2 and finishing with the Android 7.0 boot animation!

To be fair, even back in the earliest days of Android boot screens started with a still image of the manufacturer's logo with the occasional phone model, with a 5-10 second wait to get to the actual boot animation.

@@frostech3149 it is normal that the splash screen is shown, but some manufacturers have really boring animations (like a logo that lights up and fades). There are boot animation collections on XDA and other sites, some are really cool. :)

Man I wish companies would continue doing these cool animations for their startup sequences (especially the Nexus 1 that one was fire). Nowadays it mostly just shows the brand logo.
