Every view has context property. Parent is just a view that has been used to access the context inside adapter class. Another way is to pass the context using constructor.

Sir jaisa ki aapne Recyclerview k liye findViewByID nhi use kiya activity me ....waise recyclerview k child layout ko bhi hum log bina findViewByid se direct access kar sakte h .....for eg holder.txtTitle.text use kiya but usse pehle apne txtTitle ko viewholder me define kiya but usse aacha aap usee aise call kar sakte h ....holder.itemView.txtTitle.text use kar sakte h isse findViewById ki zaroorat hi nhi viewholder me define karne ki

Han Kar skte h waise bhi....but I think - behind the scenes Kotlin extensions does find View By id for us. Not sure if it does caching. But we can definitely do that.

There is not any single tutorial specific to UI, not even paid. It's better to have one UI tutorial which helps to understand only UI part. Learn and write backend code is easy, there are lot of articles and videos. Like from uplabs.com provide lot of android templates.

Yes. Kotlin extensions dependency was part of the project in Android studio default template. Since that library has been deprecated, you need to call findViewById method

Ek library added hoti thi uss samay pe default project mei...Kotlin synthetics..but that has been deprecated now....uski wajah se access kar pa rha tha...now you have view Binding and data binding to do such things ..

Actually the truth is people prefer to watch these topics in English. I can create videos on these topics but mehnat jyada h...aur views nahi aate toh acha nahi lagta...hope you understand this part. I have used Apollo with React but not with Android. Baaki coroutines ki baat h toh wo ache se cover karenge.

You need to call findViewById to get the songslist recycler view...I have this lib in my build.gradle which helps me access views in XML files.

Hi, I am unable to capture the id "songsList" into my MainActivity.kt from my activity_main.xml. Whenever I type or copy paste the if in my MainActivity.kt I get red line on it, and it asks me to create local variable or object. How do I fix this?

yes - you need to call findViewById val songsList= findViewById(R.id.songsList) or you need to add id 'kotlin-android-extensions' inside your build.gradle file for kotlin synthetic extensions. In this project - it was in the default template.

Check the brackets. Kaam karna chaiye. Installed app ko uninstall karke ek baar chalao if it is written correctly. Kahi baar app refresh nahi hoti device pe

Aisa nai bolte yellow wala view holder hai. Students interview me jake yhi bolenge ki yellow wala view holder hai. Yellow wala view holder nai hai. View holder matlab ki views ko hold karne wala. jo ki ek puri row ke widgets ko hold karta hai. Aur uska koi physical apperance hum nai bta sakte.

I am using one library which helps prevent findViewById manual code. Kotlin extensions are there. Since those are deprecated - you can call findViewById in onCreate to get the recyclerview
