Android Tablet Installation and Demo on Genesis Coupe BK1 Guide
You will need:
Any rooted 7 inch tablet but I recommend the Nexus 7 (2013)
7 inch Fascia/Bezel set from Jycshop
Aux and L shaped charger cables
Ground loop isolator
ELM327 Bluetooth OBD2 Module (optional)
Dremel or any tool for cutting plastic
Basic set of tools

@@fabianperez6518 I actually found a double din that is basically a tablet and will let you install Torque and any other play store app! It's called the Atoto A6. There are some others like it, but this is the one everyone talks about.

@@fabianperez6518 The only links I have seen for them all link back to Amazon. They have 4 different models with the highest being like $290 and has hand gestures, but it's a gimmick. Premium is probably what I'll get.

Bro, I just performed the install, great vid by the way. Anyway, how did you get the sound from the tablet to sound so good. Mine only plays like a headphone. I even tried it with Bluetooth instead of the cord and got the same result. Did you do something within the tablet to get the sound you have? Thanks.

Nope. Were your speakers fine before you did the android mod? Take it to your local shop that does automotive electronics to have it checked.

Yeah they were playing with no issue. Later in the video you were saying something about the console hook up needed to be fixed. What was it doing?

The app called Macrodroid will do that for you. There are guides on how to set it up online. Ik it’s a couple months late but what did you do with your key inserts because I have push to start but where your aux and usb at that where my key fob can go and also do I need the oem radio if I change it out with the nexus 7 tablet

No. But it's recommended to root it to get it working better for your car

Yes but you'll need a different bezel to mount your tablet. Try googling it. There's plenty of guides online

Any issues with overheating? Did this with a samsung tab A and it constantly overheated and the battery swole up and popped the back off the tablet.

Maybe you had too much apps running in the background the whole time. I have no heat issues.

@@LAWLfriendz nah that cant be it. I keep everything alseep except torque. But im gonna try the nexux 7 since you havent had that issue. Its probably a samsung problem.

It looks fine. You don't see any cuts since they're hidden underneath. It pretty much looks like it's stock design

You want everything off. Bluetooth, Wifi, GPS and etc. Same way you would want your battery to last longer on your smartphone.
