IF YOU WONDER WHY #3 IS BLURRED OUT: Number 3 said "Use an antivirus". Throughout time, I've come to the conclusion that antivirus apps in no way help to make the device more secure. As long as you follow the other tips, there is absolutely no need for an antivirus. Also, please don't install every APK you find on the internet. Scan it with VirusTotal before installing it, that should be enough for most cases.

You forgot a feature in developers options that is "sensors off" Which disables apps from spying with a camera because it disables the camera permission for every app when you have it

No, but you should question whether you want to have that game installed if it needs so much unnecessary access (do you think it's harvesting your data? I do believe that)

Another reason is there's these garbage SDKs they use to make the app, which just has all permissions enabled by default. (Yes, they're garbage, and the SMS stuff are preventing installation on the Play Store for tablets I have, since they cannot make calls.)

You don't need any antivirus on your android as long as you don't mindlessly download and install APKs from the web (outside of the Play store)

Another way of protecting. Google play > Settings > Play Protect > Enable Advanced Protection.

That switch isn't necessary. With this they mean that they can grab samples from your phone in order to help make detection better for everyone

It does. I tried installing Terraria on my phone and instead of the game, i got tons of memory wasting apps that accasionally showed pornographic images. It wasn't harmful, but very VERY annoying. I used Aptoide, of course, because i was too cheap to buy a game back then.
