Murray once again to passive w the FH crosscourt and it cost him dearly. This was so winnable for him, even now he's still 20% better at everything than Taro. Piss poor strategy for this match. All credit to Taro you still have to beat these guys.
@achiepalaago
@achiepalaago 2 жыл бұрын
Right on the button. His game now is just too passive. Almost like he's playing it safe and relying on his opponent to make unforced errors. That strategy only works with erratic players like Basilashvili who just throw caution to the wind.

It's funny how every tournament Murray talks about how this one is going to be the breakthrough. Just accept it, he's never going to return to form. He loses to the 120th ranked player in straight sets. He has 20 tournaments contributing to his ranking and he's still not even in the top 100... He has every right to play, but the ATP and ITF need to stop giving him WC"s. He's been taking them for 5 years, and made nothing of them.
@flyforce16
@flyforce16 2 жыл бұрын
Agreed, unfortunately. He did look more aggressive today but that resulted in so many unforced errors. As long as he's happy competing then I'm happy for him, though.
@Neo06666666
@Neo06666666 2 жыл бұрын
@@flyforce16 Agreed, as long as he is happy he should compete. What bothers me is his constant comments about how he’s in the verge of greatness again. As well as just taking a WC into every tournament he plays. Which helps perpetuate his delusions. I think he could potentially get to top 75-50 in the world. That’s his ceiling in my opinion. I’d love to see him play more doubles. Even with his brother. I think they could be very successful.
@drewbanker9531
@drewbanker9531 2 жыл бұрын
I agree. I was a big Murray fan back in the "Big 4" days, but he's just not good enough to make deep runs in these events anymore. Other, less absurdly rich players should be getting those wild cards. If Murray is really going to make a comeback, he should have to do it without cutting corners to enter every single event he plays.
