When Britney became famous I always hoped and prayed that her parents were keeping her grounded and safe. It was the Diane Sawyer interview that proved me wrong. Her parents completely exploited her. There’s no one else to blame in this situation. If she had a set of parents who really cared about her, she would not be in this predicament.

Great comment. I was just thinking the same thing. Britney was back then to the the world what Taylor Swift is today, a phenom. Difference is, Taylor has great selfless parents, the media was unforgiving to her also, but if her parents were good, they would have protected her from that. Poor Britney. I hope one day she can finally say she's healed from all the trauma they put her through.

I remember when she first went into the conservatorship and a couple years later she was touring. But she was still under supervision. At the time I thought it odd if she is well enough to perform but well enough to be on her own. I remember a statement came out supposedly from Brit that she liked it and it was good for business purposes. Yeah her family's business purposes it turns out.

This happened in 2013; the conservatorship was public knowledge since the day it went into effect. I knew about since it was put in place on Friday February 2008. If I knew about it, Andy knew about it.

yeah I agree the conservatorship would make sense during 2008 or maybe 2009 when she rebuilding her career at the time. But she looks way worse in 2010 I think that was the time her team started to put heavy medications on her just to make her more miserable so they can keep her in the conservatorship

She is officially mentally ill. It never ends . When you go into psychosis and mania it can take a year to fully recover, but you always have issues and triggers that can make a person spiral out of control quickly. This is what conservatorship is for. All you people have no clue about her at all.

Yeah, I didn't follow it for a while because I had some serious health issues during much of it. So when the msm finally started covering it was the first time I learned that her father was her conservator, and I was sooo surprised. Just because I'd no idea she even had a father in the picture- in the interviews I'd seen in her early career, only her mom and sister had appeared or been mentioned. That was a huge red flag to me, and a sign that the whole thing had been in bad faith. It really boggles the mind that the court would have put him in charge of all people- but that's corrupt SoCal courts for you.

Let’s be honest- you all knew that she was prisoned from 2008 (everyone knew) and was mistreated even before than but it was mot a bad situation for you cause you can make jokes on shows and people would love media throwing dirt on her and you would get paid for interviewing her and show people that she is stable after c-ship and doing great (even you know that it wasn’t true).. Money really moves a world… P.s. it was a human trafficking (at least ), you were involved (like 80% of hollywood and media), it makes you criminals tbh

In her book she said she woke up every day and the first thing she’d ask was what are we doing today and she would have to do what she was told and it went on every single day for 13 years. After a while she said she was too tired to fight so she gave in and went into autopilot mode and the only reason she kept going was because if she followed their rules she could see her children.

Maybe he meant Femme Fatale and not Glory because there was never any promo docs for that album whatsoever. Femme Fatale was the last time she had a documentary on MTV, and I Am Britney Jean was on E! Network, not MTV. So I'm guessing he got it mixed up.

I got the impression TMZ was in cahoots with Sam & that Sam was probably also still working with "handlers" of sorts, of Britney. TMZ often showed up where Sam was, on the street strolling to his car & got these mini "interview" comments from him, that seemed staged to me. Sam was one of a string of "selected" boyfriends during the conservatorship & was with her for something like 5 years, He didn't get on board with "freeing Britney" til it took off into the movement it became. Towards the end with Sam, TMZ put out that creepy documentary about how troubled Britney is, that ended with all these industry people saying "but Britney's still got it and she could make millions if she gets back to work performing." Were they all trying to get the gravy train rolling again, including Sam? Didn't work. @@aren6817

If she was even alive or if she 4bduct3d and they had ai britney or doubble in videos because I could not belive Britney would make such content. However she has been seen alive in public, so I don't worry anymore. So why are you? She says in her book that right now she's genuinely trying to focus on being kind to herself, relaxing, and figuring out who she is now. Alot of the emotions for her are EXTREMELY raw (I'm really shocked she came out with the book so soon), to the extent she didn't read most of the audiobook aloud. I can understand she wouldn't want to do a whole slew of press. Like frankly I was surprised Jeannette McCurdy did as much press as she did for her book. When celebrities put out heavy memoirs about being abused and forced into the spotlight, press seems like the last thing they'd want to do.

She was under conservatorship probably because she was mentally ill and would do completely irresponsible and crazy shit like give away all her money and belongings to strangers, go Awal, go into psychosis, mania ect.. Bi polar schizo. Thats why someone needs a guide or conservator while sick or coming down from a year long episode. Especially someone like her that has a lot on the line to loose including her image wich is still hard to save when someone has an illness like that. She hated that woman probably because most bipolar people hate the ones that are trying to help like care takers including there loved ones. They always think that someone is trying to control them, but these bipolor people can get off the rails all the time and you have to tell them or try to guide them but they are stuborn and resistant making life much worse for themselves and others around them.
