Andy Reid is one of those rare guys who just wants to coach and think of new ways to run the offense. He is not interested in more power, being a GM, or getting an oversized ego. Winning has not changed him but rather has made him more creative and more humble. I love Andy Reid not only as a football coach but as a man and how he interacts with other people.

"...He is not interested in more power..." June 6, 2017 - Andy Reid addresses Jeremy Maclin's release. June 15, 2017 - Jeremy Maclin revealed he was release via a voicemail message from Chiefs general manager John Dorsey. June 29, 2017 - John Dorsey was fired in part because of concerns about his management and communication style. 🤔 Probably just me, but I don't think Coach Reid seeks more power, because when he needs to weld it, it's is there.

The Chiefs seem to recruit players for character as well as skill. The anomaly was Tyreek Hill - who, let's face it, remains a complete tool - and Kadarius Toney. The rest of the team are all really nice, humble, intelligent dudes. And Andy obviously leads by example compared to someone like Sean Payton, who seems to be auditioning for the role of Bond villain of the NFL.

Plus all of Andy's former players LOVE the guy. That can't be said of Belichick, who treated all his players as disposable, including Brady. Have a GM and Coach be separate and the Coach not saying “I have to have this guy” is important. It’s ones thing for the coach to say “hey I’ve noticed this guy here who seems really good.
