Treacherous group of people. Afrifa was Nkrumah’s golden boy. Acheampong was Busias golden boy who had incidentally been recommended to Busia by Afrifa. Kotoka was the main brain behind Nkrumah’s overthrow. Afrifa was his subordinate who was very popular with the troops. Akuffo was Acheampongs second in command. He betrayed his boss and allowed Rawlings and his cronies to march them all to their deaths. Acheampong warned them that there would be bloodshed in Ghana if his own side overthrew him. They didn’t listen. At the end he was the only one of the lot who had no fear. He even waved his white hankiie on his way to the shooting range.

Listen to me, the eye witness. After the overthrow of Nkrumah, the NLC headed by Emmanuel Kɔsi Kotoka appointed Gen. Ankrah as head of state and Afrifa was a member of that military junta. Afrifa wanted to be the head of state but he knew Kotoka was an impediment so he contracted Yɛboah and Arthur to kill Kotoka. They succeeded and he Afrifa became head of state and because of the popularity of Kotoka, people started suspecting foul play so in order to play a hidden agenda, he Afrifa quickly executed Yeboah and Arthur. Dead men don't reveal secrets. Afrifa supervised over the " KONKONSA" elections in 1969 and gave power to Busiah on a silver platter. What is good for the geese is equally good for the gander.

How could anybody personalized a constitutional or national issues..Right, JJ Rawlings appears to be the head of state of Ghana then. Their was a constitution that governs Ghana ,which also is binding on the President. Therefore, the Generals were overthrown, tried in a court or tribunal established by a Constitution,law or degree which was a document written and adopted by the people to govern then bcos without the constitution and its implementation, then there would've been break down of law and order, which will make the country ungovernable. The constitution was made to maintain law and order. So these Generals ran a corrupt and bad government. Infact, under their eatch Ghana was almost a failed Nation, which resulted to them been overthrown and in that light breached the constitution. And it's only lawful that whomsoever breaks the law needs to be brought to justice as required by the constitution and not as required by JJ Rawlings. Then they were given the opportunity to defend themselves before the court or tribunal and at the end they were found guilty bcos of their wrong doings which they couldn't defend before the court or tribunal. Had it been they were executed without trial, then JJ Rawlings would've been held accountable. But the country's constitution found them guilty and justice was served. So, JJ Rawlings had absolutely nothing to do with their death, rather they committed crimes against the people and the Nation and justice took it's cause. The Problem with Africa is ethnic, tribal and religious sentiments. We always tend to defend anybody who is our relative, friends, loved and or kinsmen, even if they did something wrong we will still continue to defend them. That's why Africa is impoverished, underdeveloped and backwards generally and until we eschew Nepotism, tribalism, primordial sentiment,greed and corruption. Africa can only move forward positively if African begin to make use of their best brians and substitute mediocrity for Merits, that's the only way Africa will be able to move forward positively.

Hello Andy... I have been following your series of interviews pertaining to the June 4th revolution. I really enjoyed all the interviews by the ex-soldiers who actually participated during the June 4th era. I am not too sure how you met this guy but his answers are actually denigrating your program. Please if you want to be "sacrosanct" about your reputation and integrity avoid such guest on your show. Your guest is actually clueless and have his facts all twisted. He is not actually answering your questions. I am curious and want to know his credentials.

You see how Ewe trokosis Are? Nobody has accused him of being bias but he knew he is a tribalist so he is defending himself against being accused. He doesn't even come across as a well educated man.

Even his introduction tells me he knows nothing about the subject matter. How can a 10 or 12 year old talk on this. Don’t bring somebody like him talk again. I am a civilian but trust me, I know a lot about 79 and 81 and can even write a book about them because I was an insider.

Unfortunately the guest’s submission is purely a hearsay because I was 15 years old then and was in secondary school form 3, I also heard these hearsay, but some of his submission do not carry weight and not factual, as compared to your earlier guests who were really in the thick of affairs, more over, he should have spoken his native language instead of English language

Which proper court was that, were the lawyers from GBA? this guy is just hiding behind Akan name, his tonation shows his strength side. Ankrah was a Ga and Harley (the police commissioner) was an Ewe, were they not leaders of the NLC, were they killed? Was Ankrah not removed bcoz of the money he took from Nzeribe the Nigerian, didn't he confirm of taken the money, was he not corrupt himself? Rawlings himself said some of the generals were innocent but had to be sacrificed. You're saying "can someone be taken from Asante Manpong to be killed if he has not done something wrong" okay, what did the judges do wrong? In one of Rawlings' interviews he said he had to take over from Dr. Limann bcoz the court were given back ill acquired properties that had been confiscated, what does that tell you, were the judges not killed after Dr. Limann had been overthrown? Rawlings himself was remorseful for killing Afrifa although he didn't open his mouth to say it, in one of his latter interviews, you could see it.

You should interview credible people who were of age during that time. He does not know many of the reasons behind the executions What gold was in the Castle? Rubish. I am not going listen more to this boy.
