Ane Brun's cover has very quickly become one of my favourite covers, ever. I place it right up there with (RIP) Chris Cornell's cover of Billie Jean. Both artists took a heartbreaking song that was originally set to a dance backing, and brought their respective songs down to a beautiful but sombre ballad.

It's a cover of Big in Japan, a hit song from the 80s by German band Alphaville. The phrase Big in Japan was a sort of sarcastic way to reassure yourself that even if you were a loser musician in Europe, you would still be big in Japan - a saying in the music industry then.
