To hear Closer in Norwegian just made me burst into tears... I love the English version and as a Dane it was so beautiful to hear the Norwegian lyrics to this. Truly beautiful

Ane's said she's preparing an album in Norwegian (and I think it's most likely going to feature songs from ATGS and HBHTHOS). I hope she releases it as soon as she can, I'm really excited to listen to those songs renewed in her native language.

Beautiful, emotional, felt. You could sing your song in any language on the planet and surely I would cry in all of them like I did in the Norwegian language. The mystery is in the music, in your sincere interpretation, without the need to understand the lyrics.Thank you for this wonderful gift . Gràcies.

Truly touched the core even though I don't understand the words the emotion welled up deep inside and trickle down my cheeks in torrents. Amazingly heartfelt and beautifully expressed.

Wow...speechless. Again! Thx Ane, your voice is really beyond 'normal' emotions. Even for non-norwegians its touches big time, time and time again. Instruments are a perfect compagnion. For sure, a Masterpiece!!!!

You can listen to the English version (the original) It's released as "Closer" on "How Beauty Holds the Hand of Sorrow". The lyrics are similar in meaning and imagery in both languages. 🙏

Hey Ane, I have never sang before but if you would tell me that I can come to your house, chill, talk, drink a tea and sing with you I would instantly do it. I can feel what you were going through with my young 25 years. Also maybe, even if u dont like rap, check out Mac Miller, he also has really good lyrics and meanings behind his music. I really enjoy his music.

I am learning Norwegian now and it works best for me when I learn through songs. Does anybody have lyrics to this song? Would appreciate it so so much.

I added the lyrics to the info now! Wonderful that you're learning Norwegian, just remember that this is a dialect, and the writing is in dialect so it is a bit different. :)

@@AneBrunOfficial Yep, I don't mind a dialect. My previous song was Moddi's "Mannen i Ausa" and it's in the Senja dialect - seemed hopeless at first (since I don't speak any Norwegian at all) but I figured it out with the help of amazing people at r/norsk. By the way, if you have any favorite Norwegian songs with interesting/story-like lyrics, please share! (Re/ genres - my favorite Norwegian singers are you, Moddi, and Siri Nilsen, so I'm looking for something similar.)
