Too much missing information! I understand that screws must be adjusted once, just for the software to memorize the z offsets(which is relevent to sensor's height). But then what? All up to here was still manual calibration. How does the 'autolevel' happen? Do i have to include a specific Gcode at the beginning of each print? Which software is printer running?

I'm researching which 3d printer to buy and Anet A6 seems a good choice for a new user. I don't get how auto leveling works - it looks like everything has to be done by the user with the screwdriver? What is then the purpose of the sensor?

Hi everyone !!! The video is not the correct way to make the auto leveling work : I've made it differently. 1-Install the sensor LOW position and tighten it NO NEED TOUCH IT ANYMORE 2-Start auto leveling (it comes to the center of the plate) Do NOT use the piece of plastic to adjust the sensor. 3-Adjuste the hight of the head (Correct the Z position with the buttons ) 4- Fellow the same menue and click on NEXT 5- Adjust the corner then NEXT. It's making the 4 corners of the bed --> Adjust with the screws. If it goes back to the IDLE menu just start again the hotEnd will not crash this time !! Last advice, no need to be too close to the bed, it's 5 points leveling so better to adjust in 2-3 times. I hope it helps!! It's a very good kit for a starter and with the community and some translation help it's a best to buy

There wasn't any acrylic plate in my A6 set, what is the thickness of it?
@anet3dprinter1445 жыл бұрын
Would you please contact the support team at support@anet3d.com or the official support group on FB (facebook.com/groups/anet3dprintersupport/about/) if you don't get the acrylic plate? The thickness of A6 acrylic plate is 8mm for your reference. Sorry for any inconvenience for you. Have a good day.

I didn't get it either, 8 mm as you said can't be, there's no 8 mm in the space between the sensor and the bed

You really need to correct this, where you put the acrylic part "under the nozzle", (you clearly put it under the sensor only). Followingthis operation my actual nozzle drags and scars the hotbed. Dammit!

Anet, Got a question for you. I bought a A6 recently, has the blue sensor, but did not have the software to run it installed. Why send out a product that has only part of a solution. I have loaded Marlin and what I need from you are what settings to use to make your sensor actually function. I am not happy that you have screwed us buyers by not making your product work as advertised. What, if any software can you provide, and how about enabling thermal overload protection, to make the sensor more than a paper weight! Do you want our houses burnt to the ground if the therm o couple falls out of the heater block, as it did for me. Fortunately i had already loaded the new firmware and enabled thermal overload protection..

This video is from a year ago... I think this is some cheapified version of A6. Worse screen, different firmware. And yet they didn't change the one thing everyone screams at them to change: they didn't remove the stupid threads in the aluminium of the Y carriage so that manual leveling can be done by turning the nut by hand, not with a screwdriver pushing down from the top and the nut doing nothing.

Well, that was stupid! The whole purpose to have a sensor like that, is not to mess with the bed height.
