Remember Iga was just 18 years old while playing this match. Showing fighting spirit till the end. After 8 months she won the French open and rest is history.

At the 2nd set break point at 4:3 with Swiatek serving, had she not hit the ball sitting down she wouldn't have hit it out of the court. And a few points later at 4:4, Kontaveit was in the same situation, receiving a charging ball, but she returned well inside the court, because, although falling back a bit while hitting the ball, she did not sit down. ; )

Sadly Anett's level has dropped significantly since their last meeting in the final of Qatar Open. I heard it's CoViD aftermath. Hopefully she can recover from this quickly, she has a lot of points to defend in second half of the year.
