As a Nightwish fan for more that 20 years, I can say that its been a honor to have three amazingly talented ladies as lead singers, I deeply respect each of them ... I truly enjoy listening Dark Passion Play, and Imaginaerum is among my favorite albums from the band.

Who said that queen Anette cannot sing live ? Heavenly sweet voice ... queen ! Nightwish fans... you lost ! A blue eyed Diva! A Nightwish song '' slayed '' from this second Nightwish queen ! She deserve all the applause ! So as Tarja , as Floor too , our new queen , all of them gave their best . But all are so talented ... That joke from the hardcore Nightwish fans must be end here ! It's an amazing song, Anette sings it very well. But always when I listen to it I have a feeling that it was written for Tarja. And so is "Eva" for Tarja and about Tarja.

Anette is actually a really good and amazing singer, she is more attached to rock style and of course gospel and jazz inffluences which we can heard in this song, she is not classically trained that's why Nightwish fandom put a lot of hate on her (even now), hate she didn't deserved, she is an angel as a person.

Just think. Nightwish has had 3 of the most amazing singers. Tarja, incredible. Annette, incredible. Floor.............. well, Floor (new adjective above incredible). This was an awesome reaction. Note, from Travis to Travis, Suzie has a really cool vibe and voice. You guys can go where ever you want to with your music.

Anette's major talent was as a full-bore rock belter. They have a song called 'For The Heart I Once Had' that demonstrates that perfectly. I actually think Floor would struggle to do that one better.

It's kind of a shame that the only videos one sees of Annette performing with Nightwish (and some others, as in this one) aren't ones that are produced with the quality of the ones with Floor or Tarja. As in this one, it's really hard to fully enjoy it as there's so much background noise. For those who hate on Annette, you are all damned idiots and whiners without any ability to recognize a true talent. I'm quite confident that the haters don't have the ability to sing nearly as well, which negates the validity of their "judgement." Her two NW albums are their best sellers, and she sounds fantastic on them. That being said, I appreciate y'all giving some love to the lady. She really is deserving.

Why should somebody hate Annette or someone else. Fact is all the frontsingers were or are for many years at the band. That must mean something. No doubt that there is difference in style and, level, but they all have an incredible talent.

Anette's problem had always been that she needed to replace a legend, she had to measure with. It's so much easier to replace the replacement of a legend, like Floor did. Nonetheless Floor just brings the total package and therefore is the most complete singer Nightwish ever had.

The song is wonderfull (i guess the fact that i played it at my mother's funeral prooves i think high of it) but i still would go with the studio version... but here Anette is at least OK-ish...

Nightwish's punishing tour schedule definitely took its toll on her at times. Even on the documentary about the 'Imaginaerum' tour Marco said they would play 100 less shows to make it a bit easier on her. I saw them in Sydney when she was sick. The show was in a 1200-capacity venue in the dead of summer and it was still incredible. The band and the crowd were dead on their feet with the heat and it was still an amazing bonding experience, even if every note wasn't perfect. That intimacy is something I don't think an arena show could ever capture.

It sounded to me like this version was a tiny bit faster than the original track..? As far as sheer belting power and lung capacity goes, I think the Dutch woman wins. And compared to the album track, Annette went a little bit "too much Beyonce" for my taste in the end. She can sing for sure though.

@@Klojum yes, it was faster. On the finale, she has this jazzy /r'n'b/poppish style, and she sang ghost love score finale in the same way. But, besides any legitimate personal taste, it was an amazing finale

Anette has every right to perform these songs, and she doesn't even need any "okays" from the band. Do you understand how royalties and revenues work? Anyway, this song really suits her well.

Does not deserve it? What nonsense! Her albums with Nightwish are incredibly successful. Anette had trouble maintaining her vocal shape during the grueling tours with Nightwish, as she had never had touring experience with a band of that level before. That's why she is not touring now, but only releasing great albums with her numerous projects. But in any case to say that she is a bad singer and doesn't deserve respect is a brazen and insulting lie.
