I just learned recently that Caitlin Clark is the fastest rookie in WNBA history to 200+ points (242), 75+ assists (93) and 75+ rebounds (76). Angel Reese, meanwhile has scored under 200 points (157), well below 75 assists (just 27), and the one stat that beats Clark is assists at 133. Clark even has a better free throw rate: 90.6% vs Reese’s 75.7%. So, no, those of us who never watched the WNBA before this season are watching it to follow a middle lane player (Reese). We are watching the league for Caitlin who is a far superior player and even in the pros, is proving to break records. What’s crazier, is that Clark is breaking records in the WNBA (as she did in college) and yet she is not as good as the current veterans and obviously has a lot to learn still. Just think of how great she will be when she does hit her prime.

Pretty much this. My niece is in college softball, and I go watch her every home game they have, so I'm not opposed to going to a wnba game every once in a while just so see how it is. But when they call me a "-ist" and "-ic" and "-ism" because I wasn't already giving their league money and attention, it completely turns me away and I lose all interest. Caitlin has been different, and the numbers speak for themselves as to how that's been good so far.

Ive been YELLING about Reese being the 4th best player on her team during that game, since it happened! Not only that, but one of the THREE teammates who outplayed her, came off the bench and SMASHED Angel's numbers in FEWER minutes, and more efficient shooting! Reese is an absolute CLOWN for acting like SHE led her team to that win.

The jealousy of these so called women in the WNBA is crazy! They just don’t seem to understand what it’s like to have someone be the face of the WNBA. CC is making it possible for a lot of great things coming to the WNBA but some of the girls in the league cannot handle that a rookie is doing it. How is the league supposed to grow if all they do is try and sabotage anything that’s good? Leaving CC off the roster for team USA is a huge mistake for the opportunity to excel this league and maybe one day be on its own two feet instead of being backed by the NBA. Just a lot of jealousy being shown. Reese needs to stay in her own lane and not worry about others and work on her game. If not she will not get the praise that she thinks that she deserves.

I agree to a point...It's not just Angel Reese, it's pretty much the entire WNBA. They all want the newfound attention, but they all want to be the reason for the new attention. I went from not really caring about the wnba to outright hating the league. They cry about equal pay but the league is losing 50 million dollars this season. It's beyond ridiculous at this point.
