Angela Rayner faced a setback in the ongoing controversy over her two homes as a crucial document emerged, signed by her former neighbour, Sylvia Hampson.
Hampson, who previously criticised Rayner, confirmed that she witnessed the sale of Rayner's home.
The document, revealed by The Mail on Sunday, suggests that Rayner claimed the property as her "principal residence," despite living a mile away from her neighbour and next door to her then-husband.
This has prompted Greater Manchester Police to investigate multiple allegations against Rayner, including potential breaches of electoral law and tax-related issues.
Rayner has stated she would resign if found guilty of any criminal offense related to registering her former council house as her home instead of her husband's property.
If Vicarage Road was not her primary residence, she could face tax implications on the sale of the property, potentially amounting to £3,500.

@@danpalmer7676 There's a whole world of difference between saying that someone has done something and expressing an opinion that you suspect someone has done something. Like the Tory MP that made a complaint to the police about Rayner but when put in the spot about the substance of his complaint couldn't actually say what he was complaining about.
