Angela’s voice and cadence are so soothing and peaceful! The way she speaks about even such heart wrenching things is so composed and poised and wise. Angela is gorgeous and stunning but even if she didn’t happen to be so pretty and charming, she still wouldn’t have deserved the treatment she got from bullies and classmates. Hearing her story from such a smart and charismatic woman makes my heart break even more to think of how people who have even more pronounced disabilities are treated. If kids can say things like that to a well spoken and sweet girl, I can’t even imagine what pictures they’d have drawn of someone substantially disfigured or impaired. How awful for Angela and for everyone else enduring this.

It was sad to hear what she went through with classmates. I believe kids are mean because they are hiding issues that they have and the way they were bought up. Angela what you are dealing with is advanced mentality. You are way above others your age and you grew up being that way. They compensated by the only method they were capable of. Precious; your advanced mentality kept you from being trapped by your condition. Everyone alive has dealt with insecurities, most grow and move on and forgive others of theirs. You are drop dead gorgeous and articulate.

I have Neurofibromatois (NF1). I lost my left leg at age 3. My left hip and residual limb is very large. About twice the size of my right. I experienced the same with a romantic relationship. That boys would only be interested in me out of pity, or that I would be an easy lay. I have always hated my body. Clothes don't fit well because of my misporptioned body. I only WISH, I could be like everyone else. People who have actually gotten to KNOW me, no longer see my differences.

I think it's redicluse that a non symmetrical face is an illness, I also don't have a symmetrical face nor does most people I know, I guess she's blind in one eye that might be unfortunate, at least that's what I thought.
