She's been singing this song for ten years now, I think it definitely shows. What a talent. She's more of a pop singer, but she has these foundational skills. I know that Ariana G has a similar theater background as well. Morissette has said she uses Broadway songs to warm up her voice, which I found interesting! Morissettes vocal improvement in the three years I have been following her has improved immensely. Everyone raves about her secret love song, Akin ka na Lang and rise up but in my opinion her later performances of Fly Like A Bird and this song are far more polished. She is in my opinion the best vocal performer on the planet right now.

You should check out her performance of Never Enough (Live on the Wish 107.5 Bus), the strength of her lower range is in full display. Also her original song Akin Ka Na Lang (also on the Wish Bus), is a breathtaking technical masterclass. BTW, her squeaks/cries are a stylistic choice and 100% intentional. It’s her trademark.

Morisette has always been able to sing low notes. I don't think you have enough exposure to her so are not aware of her capabilities. Mori has incredible control over her voice including her squeaks, whistle notes, etc. She has incredible range also.
