Hello, Angel! Thank you for your sweet reaction this video. The man sitting, smoking, singing and drinking coffee is named Deden Gonzales. He comes from Indonesia, specifically from the city of Bandung, West Java. The vocals are amazing. Now he has been appointed as the vocalist of the band "Search" from Malaysia. With this new band, he toured several cities in Malaysia and received a very enthusiastic welcome.

Denden once participated in a talent event in Bulgaria. Now he lives in Malaysia as the vocalist of a local band called SEARC

Can't beat the original Steelheart. Try that one if you like. Love the acoustic version. Miljenko is still performing. Saw his interview w/ Flickering Box in August. Worth a watch. Yep, it's a vocal cover. Smoking, chewing gum. (Not the best practices for a singer). Very nice rendition. Dens is from Malaysia. He's the most notable singer out of more than a dozen covering this song. (I've heard at least 8 so far). He sometimes goes by Dens last I remember, but don't quote me on that. Information is not as easy to find on him like it was a few years ago. though there is some recent info, I'd rather share what i remember from before: He owned a bar where he often sang some time ago. Recently he joined another band (or 2) since. That info is available.

I am sorry, but I hear mispronounced words and that bothers me quite a bit. Part of covering any song is pronunciation clearly, especially when you know the original artist's work. Covering a song you might even have a different tone than the artist but the justice of high accolades should come with high standards. Deden has good vocal range. but his mispronounced words bother me. My family has had 2 country bands (my mother and stepfather had their band for approximately 7 years before my stepfather died at only 38 years old of cancer and my father had his for over 45 years before his death) and my brothers have a rock band since the 1970's when they were in their teens and added our cousin when he was only 15 years old and the original mostly family and 2 long-time friends are in their 60's and still making what are digital albums and CDs for us that still love that mode of music. When they were covering bands they seriously stuck to the words of the original artists.They are doing only their own written and produced music. They do that because they wanted only their work. When the whole family and friends get together any member of the family or friends sing anything they want with the group playing electric or acoustic guitars, different drum sets, and ironically we usually end up singing gospel music at the end of the party or get together. We all grew up singing in church then the different family members went to rock or country music and now the next two generations are making bands and their own music. I am not being arrogant but I can hear when any artist or band goes off key. I didn't want that talent but due to a drunk driver hitting me head-on caused implants to be put in my skull and complete jaw implants that sit right by my middle ear so I hear things that most people can't hear even when they have great hearing. The implants are basically like having the best speakers or amps made in my eardrums and middle ear. I can literally hear sirens as far away as 5 miles away or sometimes even further away when out of the city. My brothers hated when I heard them go off key and told they needed to do that part of the song again...to put into perspective what I can hear, I hear better than sound system that are used to make and record music. I might have people think I am lying or being arrogant, but when you hear the original artist and they don't or never have used auto-tune like so many new artists do, they don't have the true talent portrayed.. When Mili and Steelheart recorded their music auto-tune was not even created just like my own family have never used auto-tune devices because they have the voices to sing from 1970 to now. They had Miley Cyrus sing on a regular mic because some people said she was using auto-tune...she sang just like you hear live or how her music was either on CDs or now digital, so she proved the naysayers wrong.. Deden has an awesome voice, don't get me wrong, but the words sung by him have problems. A lot of people either can't hear it or they don't really hear the pronunciation. He could also be using auto-tune but I doubt it because I can hear the mistakes and it does bother me. Deden did something like The Voice and you could hear his true voice...he did not make it even to the 2nd round.If you don't believe me, replay Deden's voice and specifically listen to the full, partial, or specific words and the sound he makes!. You decide for yourself!
