Good video and reasonably new. I live in Angeles and have for a number of years. Advise for anyone contemplating a trip, first I highly recommend it as a place to blow off steam, relax and grab a couple weeks of semi-paradise however, there are a few things to consider: 1. NEVER ever get a girl from anywhere other than a bar. The street walkers and freelancers that prowl discos and alleys are not regulated, may not have been hygiene inspected, may not be of legal age (18), jail for you, and could very well be part of a rip off ring that she will let into your room to rob you. 2. Ladyboys, we don't call them that, in other countries are usually upfront about what they are but here they lie their teeth out hoping the customer will be so drunk in the room he won't notice. Again stick to bar fines not street walkers. 3 Never get into a physical altercation with a Filipino, male or female, because as a foreigner it will always be your fault and the Police love nothing more than tossing a foreigner into jail then extorting every last dime he has to set him free. 4. If you want to avoid the madness of the Walking Street just try the Perimeter Road bars on Don Juico. There is a strip of bars that run maybe a couple miles on one side of the road and are cheaper, less hectic, for me more fun and just as entertaining. However, they tend to open early, around noon, and some close by 7 P.M. while others stay open until 11 P.M. 5. Angeles is slowly being bought up by Koreans. More and more bars, restaurants and entertainment venues cater to Koreans while western men are loosing their edge. I mention this to simply prepare any visitor to the real fact that there are a ton of Korean males wandering around Angeles, as noted in the video, and there are at times culture clashes. Over all come and enjoy. Your life will never be the same.

The paper towel is wrapped around the mouth of the bottle in many latin countries. Because of the humidity the cap can get a sort of "rust" on it if its sat around a bit. Thats so you can wipe any residue off.

Angela's City, our old hangout in the 60-early 70's flying in and out of Clark AB....we felt safe walking around anywhere with Marco as President. Off base we stayed at the Clarkton hotel.

They wrap the top because some of the bottle caps rust. You can wipe off the rust ring with it. Also to wipe of dust and other stuff too. Can't hurt right?

The tissue is to prevent the tip of the bottle from exposure to dirt. You can also use it to wipe the tip. Some restaurants also do this with non disposable spoons and fork.

Compared to Thailand in particular Pattaya it seems hard to distinguish between beer bars, go go bars and nightclubs as a lot of drinking places seem to be behind a curtain or behind closed doors. In Thailand there are so many open beer bars which is not only great for people watching but also makes you feel more comfortable. With a lot of these hidden type bars in the Philippines you have no idea what you are walking into.

Philippines is no better and no worse than any other country, this is not normal living in no place except its a way out of hunger. Its that simple really. Here in the USA and western countries college girls are doing this to pay their way to college and are our future leaders and doctors...

There's no one better when it comes filming night scenes, be it BKK, Pats, Vietnam, Cambo or Angeles City now.. Kudos to you sir, will take a gander at patron page as your skills need prolonging. Compare this to all the amateurish attempts done on Angeles City, including long time expats or new wave of Filipino bloggers, not even close... Have 2 point question regarding your camera : 1 - what model and settings? 2 - Would it be too hard using manual focus when youre seated and filming a subject with movement in between? I ask this knowing fully youre in dynamic atmosphere with alcohol attached :p

Question based on something stated in one of your Vietnam videos: Does a female wearing a white dress in those areas (e.g. Walking Street in Angeles City) signify that she's not a working girl? Just curious. It would be good for there to be some kind of way for non-workers to indicate that they aren't in those areas to get picked up but simply to relax and have a good time.

The only thing that changed since the seventies is the prices... Was Medi-Vac'd to Clark AFB Hospital in 1979 with a perforated appendix from Columbo, Sri Lanka during a West Pacific Cruise. The US Air Force saved my Navy ass! After three weeks of begging, the surgeon granted me a day pass. An Air Force Sargent I met in the hospital had a place off base. He hooked me up with his "housekeeper". Go Fly Boys!

I am a Filipina and I am also from Angeles city I never go there at all it is one of the most scary and dangerous place for me . That place is famous for having a lot of prostitutes . If I'll go there alone they might think I'm a prostitute too .. Especially at night at morning it is OK to past on those streets .

Love it or hate it the Foreigners like myself continue to come flock to Angeles. I been all over the world. However no place is like Angeles. From my first day at the former Clark AB until present time Angeles still has the flare that’s somewhat different than then but still interesting. Thanks for sharing a good video. Peace ✌🏽

They wrap the tissue because in the old days the caps used to rust and leave the glass stained, so the practice of wrapping bottles at the top started.

The reason for wrapping the beer bottle top with tissue is........ If you keep the beers in an ice chest, the tops can leave a rust deposit on the glass. Also if the crates are stacked in the open they can get dirty. Theory is that you remove the dirt when you twist the tissue off.

So do you live there or just really easy to visit?

im pretty sure they use the napkin on beers as the ice is tap water ... and if you dont wipe off the stem you may spend a few days with diareah if your not local... at least thats what i always assumed.

I haven't been there since 1988. Some things never change though. $1.91 for a San magoo? It was 20p in '88 which was somewhat less than a buck.

If you saw the San Miguel factory/brewery you'd understand why you get a tissue, also found roaches ( dead fortunately ) in the bottles one guy in the Seabee unit got a mouse in his beer

When I was in Phil, I never went anywhere near these dive places, never been able to understand why folks go O/S to get blind drunk and try to pick up nice girls... Nice girls don't hang out in holes like these places are. Philippines is full of nice girls, you meet them in family places and on University Campuses. Nice girls don't like drunks. Lady boys are usually easy to pick, they tend to be the loud ones, they near always are overtly silly, met quite a few even in the nice places. Most aren't very good with the makeup either.

I was there (Clark AB) from 1968-1973.Much funner then.Not so commercialized.

Knowing where you are there is a reason for the tissue on the bottle one reason is so you can wipe the top before you drink off it the other is because they had to open it and bring it to you with a tissue on the top no one can slip anything in your drink . To be honest with you I think that's a great idea.

Great intro. Your editing skills can rival the best tourist shows on cable tv. My real problem with the Phils is the girls are getting chubbier by the year. Sneak your way into China and slink around the hidden brothels. I think you are the only youtuber that can bring a quality product about this under rated market.

Beer bottles are very dirty cause of dirty hands holding them after they leave from factory, only the part of under cap is "safe". In many countries in Africa, you also get tissue paper with beer bottle.

Tissue on top of beers = stops flies from getting on the bottle's rim after bottle cap is removed. You're right about huskies. They're all the rage now in the Philippines -- started about 7 years ago and they're very popular now, especially in the more expensive subdivisions. Unfortunately, owners don't care about the happiness of such dogs living in a tropical climate.

The problem with Angeles City is it's quieter than some places you would find in Thailand, the girls there are not as pretty as the ones you would find in Manila but then the problem with Manila is there is no distinct one area as they are scattered around unless you go to Burgos St in Makati but the street is littered with ladyboys on the outside so you might have to bar hop around to find some quality. Quezon Avenue is also another good place for those kinda establishments.

The napkin around the bottle neck is for hygiene purposes, so you can give your bottle top a vigorous wipe in case a rat or dog's pissed on it whilst it was in storage. I was told this by a Filipino 20 yrs ago.

I have noticed the bottles wrapped with a tissue at the top too. I thought it was just to show that nobody took a swig out of it after it was opened. And that the top is clean. I have been to VooDoo bar quite a few times right next door to Kokomos. Dollhouse is big and the pole routines are good. Super fit girls doing that show., High Society, well, great place but wayyyy too many FLs. Voodoo bar is just right for me. Oh, and San Mig Apple for me. LOL

Trike ride is not 100 pesos for tourists maybe but when I was in the Philippines my mother would only pay 15-50 pesos depending on how far was the ride plus tip and the sidecar varies some are nice some are just to get by
