When Eli, Omar, and Cesar get together, one never knows who's going to go highest. Remember in Dream On, when it came to the high Tyler scream, it was the baritone, Cesar, hitting it. Fun fact: Geoff was in charge of costuming, as this was his arrangement. Cesar is wearing actual chain mail. Weighed over 20 lbs. Between takes he'd sometimes lie on the floor to give his shoulders a rest.

Cesar was a real trooper to wear the armor for so long. You know that it HAD to be hot! And Eli held that high note for a looooong time toward the end. He is amazing!

This is the first video I saw of Voiceplay 1 ½ years ago. This is a Geoff arrangement. And he did a phenomenal job. As always. These guys are amazing. I agree.... Halo Theme is also phenomenal. Scott Porter who is featured in it was their first beatboxer and one of the founding members when it was 4:2:Five back in 1997. Scott left in 2003 for a very successful acting career. That's when Layne went from baritone to beatboxer. Scott is also in their video "Just Sing" along with a bunch of other artists that they've associated with in some way (captions on for info).

I was surprised that you hadn't done this one yet - I know you've been busy. One of my favorites - love how they sang parts in English and other in Dovakhin (sp?).

Yeah, there's been stuff going on, and sorting my schedule and such has been taking up a bit of my time. I love that they actually did it in both languages.

@@Gael4ce, I’m not sure I’d call myself a gamer, but I’m playing Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance II. I got my character up to level 40, and suddenly needed 100,000,000 experience to advance to level 41. After several dozen plays through the whole game, I recently passed the ⅓ mark. And I’m 62.

Yes! This was totally epic, blew me away when I first heard it - not a gamer, but appreciate it nevertheless! The costuming and makeup were amazing - Geoff is an Imperial Barbarian, Cesar a Dunmer (dark elf) Battlemage, Omar a Bosmer (wood elf) Archer, Eli a Breton Necromancer, and Layne a Nord Jarl (or so I believe) The commitment in learning to sing in a 'language' that was made up for the game is just nuts! This one almost broke Mortius when he reacted to it, as he's a big Skyrim fan!

For that high part, it was both Omar and Eli, but Omar's voice has been made a little more preeminent in the audio mix.

Trust me on this. When you are an avid online MMORPG gamer and logged many thousands of hours playing this game, Skyrim, this VoicePlay video takes on a much higher meaning. VoicePlay NAILED this song. In my opinion, it is so much better than the song/singer in the game. (And I love it when VoicePlay dresses up & acts out the parts of a video.) 😻 And you know the music is serious when someone starts singing the scales. 😜

Same, I don't know how many thousands of hours I have in Skyrim, or any of the other Elder Scrolls games for that matter. They absolutely nailed it. Really loved it

In the BTS video, Geoff said he went a little overboard with the costumes. Poor Cesar had to lay on the floor between takes because Geoff had him wearing twenty pounds of real chainmail.

I love your reactions, your comments, and your humor. Have been back in your older reactions. (The reaction to Elvira was a lot of fun - catching up!) I would love to see Anthony G, Eli, J.None, Cesar and Omar on one song. Then, of course, Geoff will hit a high note to harmonize that we don't expect....🤣 Edited for internet lag 😥

They really did go all in on this one. Cesar might have gone a little overboard by wearing actual chainmail (about 20 pounds or around 9 kilograms (if I got my convergent correct)). Anyway you look at it it's heavy and he had to lay down between takes. But it shows his commitment and I want to know if he had it before hand or bought it just for this song. Thanks for your reaction. 😊

Geoff was in charge of costuming. There's a clip in the BTS of him and Kathy opening all the stuff they ordered, including the chain mail.
