omfg, I thought I was the only one tapping the spacebar with my right index finger with average of 110wpm. And now im trying to find out if that was the cost of not getting any faster then my current typing speed. I guess, right index finger for spacebar isnt that bad 😅

I'd recommend you learn thumb spacing if you haven't learned it yet, speed will be drastically improved

Omg! I use the same finger for spacebar, and I average and stuck around 70wpm. I thought of using index finger as a bad habit to not reach 100wpm, so I wanted to try the thumb but my brain couldn't. Thanks for your video! Sub

I used to be like that, just try to relearn everything again, it may be a lot slower to start with but I went from 80-90wpm to 100-110 wpm

Try to tap the space bar with your thumb instead of your pointer-finger, it's faster and it puts less stress on your hands and rists.

U need to see how fast U can type on a manual (an old fashion typewriter, no electric). Very diff from computer keys! I'm retired but bk in 1978, I was 13 & got to 85 wpm at the end of semester! You had to push the carriage when it came to your right margin. So that took about 1 to 2 seconds. Those are still around. Yes, I finally got an electric typewriter, that increased my speed a lot better!

I started off last year only using 3 fingers with 45 wpm max. When I started using all 10 fingers it dropped to 27 wpm. Currently now pushing 110wpm but my most accurate would be around 72 wpm. Also if you do punctuation it decreases your wpm by 10-18 so I would practice punctuation if I were you.

@@winterries it ain't slower as Long as you're not seeking for 210+ words per minute (there's ppl reaching 200wpm resssing the spacebar with the index finger) and if you use, for example, 8 fingers, there's no medical problems

Switch to homerow if you didn’t already. Hitting the spacebar without your thumb will slow you down.

My left pinky finger doesn't work what should it do🙂, i never learned typing, i went directly to join DCA courses and learned by myself in there, especially while doing html my typing became fast but not that fast i think about 50-60 wpm, but the keyboard in there is Fucked up, doesn't work properly

Uhm girl, ofc it’s easier to reach for 130 WPM without using the right technique. My bf can type with a correct way at a speed of 260 WPM. And I’m really proud of him, because it’s more challenging to use pinkies and ring fingers in the reason that they’re usually weak (except if you’re playing piano)
