When you ask how she can sing so convincingly about adult themes that she hasn’t yet experienced? Just get used to this-she is the best interpreter of lyrics you’ve ever heard. Couple that with her magical voice and the result is the best singer I’ve ever heard. Period.

My theory is that she learned music so early that emotions have sounds for her. At one and a half she was listening to jazz greats as well as modern voices. For her the idea of sadness has a particular resonance/timbre.

This was the first song I heard from her. Never heard of her. 5 seconds into song and just couldn’t believe the voice. His pretty much the reaction of all first -time listeners. Total shock and joy, and she doesn’t even break a sweat. This is great robot test. Play five seconds thief stop. If you’re human you won’t be able to breathe. Not exaggeration.

The jawdropping moment for me was when I compared it head on to the original. Before that I was so naive to think "yeah, masterful 1:1 copy". But she mactually made Lana sound flat in comparison.

Great reaction. Angelina's magic is her ability to capture the emotion and intent of any song she sings and express that emotion better than most adult artists out there. I believe she is 12 in this one. After a while you will get numb to her age and be able to just enjoy the gorgeous mature sound. She is a true artist that can change her tone and voice to fit the song instead of changing the song to fit her voice.

@@KjellAaseth 👍 Not just her grandfather. In Angelina's book, she described her mom, Sara as "a teacher at a Japanese school". So I'm sure her Uncle Michael and her mom, who were born and grew up in Japan and who often speak Japanese to each other, passed on a little of the language to Angelina (and helped greatly with her Japanese songs she sang). 👍

You can really see in this video that she is completely, fully engaged in the story, like she's living it right then. It's simply impossible not to be fascinated by that little fairy, if you listen to her with your eyes closed, just like she sings most of the time, she takes you far away, where you just hope that she still continues to to sing. ❤️❤️ This is Angelina's magic, she is able, with the minimum musical accompaniment and without any vocal effort, to achieve something that is absolutely hers, that fantastic balance of words, music and emotion that transforms her every interpretation into an experience that envelops you completely. ❤️ ❤️ With this song you realize that this little girl, quietly sitting with a minimal musical backing track, manages to be even more emotional than Lana 😊

I love Lana del Rey. And Adele. And then, Angelina covered them. And you realise that, while Lana and Adele are great artists, they're absolutely amazing songwriters. And that a pre-teen kid completely demolishes the original versions with her covers. I don't bother with the originals anymore, I just listen to Angelina's take on them. Which, by the way, is ONE take in front of a mike set up at home, and not countless perfections in a studio. Really does blow your mind, doesn't it?

One answer could be: from her superrich DNA. One can practice for a lifetime and will never get there. Another, multi talented and guided by the best vocal coach in the world, would fall into oblivion right from the start of his or her career. I would submit that the DNA can explain the genius in a singer and the prodigy in a child. Do you believe that a better answer exists that would explain such a phenomena?

I think kids or young people have more emotions than we give them credit for, if they have not had a boyfriend yet they can imagine a family member leaves or a loved pet, however delivering that emotion to us through a song is a whole different thing, that is a talent at any age that is hard to acquire and Angelina has had it from at least the age of 6.

Now capture that thought and deal with her age and then that English is likely her third language. After you have listened try to think of any singer that could create her awesome covers of such a stellar and varied group of singers.

She’s an alien 👽 she is one of those rare talented singers who come along once every hundred or 200 years she may be the best female vocalist on the planet right now, another one I can think of though is Diana Ankudinova Who is an unbelievable contralto. Diana is a different style than Angelina but totally amazing also, In my opinion they are two of the best female singers on the planet.

Another Great reaction G&T. Angelina is 12 years old in this video. Her talent goes way way beyond her young age, her ability to change her voice to suit any particular song she sings, and her impeccable timing, breath control, back phrasing....etc just shows how far above most singers she is. Angelina put a instant stankface on Casual 🤣Defintly Lana Del Reys song,and she is a matured,wonderful woman. But i think Angelina goes even deeper then Lana,and that did put me off when i first heard this. I love Lanas voice because of how unique,somewhat deep she sounds and her music (Born in New York,and is currently 35 years of age) So many people have to look of disbelief when hearing Angelina sing. I was there myself when i heard her belt like a grown soul sista at 6-7,and she still blows me out the front door. She has made people believing in reincarnation.

Love your reactions ..esp when you do that squish face LMAO....I have been following her for the pas year and , just can't get enough. I love watching the reactions of non belief when she sings...You must watch "Adele's" A million years ago ...Angelina changed it up by slowing it down it's beautiful. I also love Wicked games. ...... oh and Rhianna's Stay Angelina kills it.....Enjoy ...:)

As others have already mentioned it's NOT an original (unless you're Lana Del Rey), but just the idea that you could even consider that thought while listening to Ms. Jordan's cover of it says volumes about the raw talent of this young lady. She truly is a gift to the world of music and anyone who appreciates that world. Now that she has signed with a label I just hope I live long enough to hear a LOT more of what she has to offer, because her first 4-5 originals have already confirmed her as the force I thought she was going to be. Btw, your reactions are great (you seem to truly be enjoying the journey).
