Angelina went live in studio for that one too, and did it in one take !!! There aren't words for this! "I Put a Spell On You" has been covered many times and is recognized as a classic, yet almost never is the tone of the original 1956 "Screamin" Jay Hawkins version captured. This is because Hawkins was the original shock-rock guy (think Ozzy Osbourne type craziness) and his style is difficult to emulate and also because his dated delivery is uncomfortable and stereotypical to our modern sensibilities. There has never been someone who has mastered so many different genres ever since she first began singing at the age of 6. Her voice has the flexibility to sing at any high or low range with power personified whenever she wants to.

The Barefoot Princess was 9 at the time of this performance and this was her arrangement of the 1956 original by Screaming Jay Hawkins whose face was on the candle at the beginning of the video. The notes you saw her giving to the music director were her instructions to the band on how to play her arrangement so it would best suit her style and vocals. The band affectionately called Angelina the Boss . No matter what her age , Angelina always delivers a superb performance!

As many b4 me said here. Any choice of song cant go wrong. You can for exampel choose "Bohemean Rhapsody" that she sang at AGT the champions in 2020. My greatest joy of late is seeing more and more people discovering Angelina but get prepared for she has over 100 covers and now at 15 she has a couple of originals. I just saw an original she did earlier when she left home to come to the US..."Oslo" (Oslo, Norway her hometown)...a must-see video! but shoots, you have so, so many to hear and to pick favorites!!

'Fly me to the moon' is a good choice. The version in the link you noted is a music video produced by her grandma when she was 8 years old. She also sang it on The View around the same time and later when she was 12 or 13 she performed it in concert in a birthday bash for Quincy Jones. It is cool to see the progression of her talent. Great reaction you guys 😊 You should start from the beginning. Her first time in studio, age 6 singing «I who have nothing»…and then her Norway’s got talent performances, age 7 (audition first «gloomy sunday» (Billie Holiday). Angelina IS jazz and she has an old soul. How many 5-6 years old children go to retro record store to listen to old classics like Billie Holiday, Louis Armstrong, Frank Sinatra etc on vinyl.…not many. Angelina did when she was that young. She isnt like normal great child singers who have a clear poppy voice (but still sound like children). She is unique, has lots of talents beside singing…and has been that way since she was so youmg. She makes her own clothes, she is the youngest best selling author in Norway, she pays different instruments, etc. She also supports a lot of charities…if I remember right, she gave away most of her prize money from winning NGT…and she is still only 15.
