I was there filming this video and, this was insane! My biggest takeaway from attending my first Angelina Jordan concert is that recordings just don’t do her justice. She is simply crazy, CRAZY good live!

Angelina is truly fantastic in this performance, surpassing herself with each song. And the band is not far behind: the guitarist dialogues perfectly with her, showing off his guitar skills and giving aesthetic emphasis to her vocal skills.

Some fans are not to keen on this sound from ANGELINA well get used to soul , r&b etc because imo that's what will be on her album at least I hope so , I guess she will find her own sound but I expect some surprises.

"She tried to turn into Aretha on that one!" Haha, right?! Don't worry about not knowing what to say anymore. I'm pretty sure that's a common affliction among serious AJ fans. We start running out of superlatives after a while! Anyway, if this song is indicative of one of the directions she's going in, we're all in for a treat.

I have looked forward to your videos since I discovered your channel, as have many Angelina fans. I thoroughly enjoy your reactions, but have realized that as a viewer, I would like to feel more appreciated as I do with many other channels. Keep in mind that this is just a simple recording possibly with a smartphone. Imagine standing close to stage… I reckon it is a like a gentle tsunami pushing all away and leaving no room for anything else. She was trying to get the audience to sing along and dance along, but I think they were transfixed, spellbound not able to move their attention from their ear and eyes, barely remembering to breathe while she was singing. This is a CLASSIC EXAMPLE of the ability of our MEGA SUPERSTAR, Angelina Jordan; she takes a song I find very distasteful from all the vocalists that have performed it in the past, and turns it into a work of ART. I wonder if she even comprehends her abilities that seem to come naturally, like breathing does to us.

As you eluded to, when Angelina sings it’s like watching her breath. She blows us away with how comfortable, easy and effortlessly it is is for her to sing. Her vocal versatility, vibrato, control, her rich lower register, her elite master class level sophistication and the list of vocal embellishments are unequaled. I have listened to most of the very talented singers in her age group and older and they don’t have Angelina’s deep tool box, her closet full of textures and her color pallet. They are bereft of Angelina’s innate ability and extreme sensitivity to know exactly how and when to use her vocal techniques.

I have been loving and listening to soul music since the Motown/Philly years and heard some brilliant, truly amazing voices and lots of them live from 1970 onwards, and this is up there with the very best and then she suddenly takes up another level. I lost count of how many concerts I have attended in my 68 years. I can count on one hand's fingers the artists that sound as good or better live than their studio recording. Ella Fitzgerald and Sarah Vaughan come to mind as well as Angelina. Great company to be among. I was at the July 10 concert and I can tell you she sounded and looked amazing. I'm 55 and I've been (along with maannnnyyyy others) watching this young lady grow way beyond her years and experience. She's blown my mind so many times already. The thing about her fan base is that most of us are real music lovers who have a pretty good ear for talent and AJ continues to amaze and inspire. I'm sure we all hope she avoids the certain pitfalls of the music industry that quite often diminishes the soul of a performer and to some extent, causes many to sell themselves out.
