After her first song, Bohemian Rhapsody, Simon referred to her singing as" a Performance".. and not an audition. She commanded the entire room as they hung on every note.

They agreed to these terms before she appeared. They wanted her to appear to help the show be better and her uncle (manager) wanted to wait and sign a deal that best protected Angelina's youth, ability to write songs and have artistic imput they didn't want her doing casino shows in Vegas. She'd already turned down Disney among others. She was still 13 here. You probably know she has since signed with Republic Records. They also have Lorde, Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, Stevie Wonder, Amy Winehouse, John Mellencamp, Jonas Brothers, Pearl Jam, Florence + the Machine, The Weeknd, to name just a few. While agreeing to sign with Simon may have helped her win the show, it's better her uncle protected her best interests. The "SuperFans" voter the 5 finalists (and poorly). Not the audience watching. This show was taped in Nov 2019, when she was still 13, and aired in 2020 which is why they didn't have live voting. I'm not sure why the show took down her performance of Bohemian Rhapsody from KZfaq after less then a week when she already had over 10 million views. I've need read why. Angelina didn't need to win this show at all. She had 2 Billion Facebook views and 600 million KZfaq views, song for the President, etc. The industry has known about her for years. This show allowed her to perform for America and gain exposure.

This 3-way performance only happened after the final 5 acts were selected by the "SuperFans". The acts that didn't make the final 5 all gave final performances with other acts that missed the cut.

@@ClifftheBigRedDoggy I remember a short interview where AJ said she hoped to win the show. I do remember a young girl (Louisa Johnson), who won one of these Simon Crowel productions in England, and after going forward under SYCO, she disassociated herself with them, not satisfied with how they were guiding her, I presume. I'm sure AJ's team were aware of this prior to her AGT performing. As a side note, Louisa was blowing away all competitors and did a nice job singing the difficult 'It's A Man's World'. Truth is, it wasn't anywhere as good as Angelina's version on stage in Norway. This girl could sing the 'phone book' and dazzle me !

@@ridgemanron She definately wanted to win. She is very focused. She kept bugging her mother to sign her up for Norway's Got Talent but she wasn't even old enough yet. Apparently Angelina threatened to call the show herself so they signed her up at age 7. This is one determined child. There is a cute video of her at her schools Christmas concert (maybe 5 or 6). She is so annoyed and won't sing along because the other kids were, let's be frank, were horrible. She is determined and a perfectionist.

@@ClifftheBigRedDoggy Simon should have cut out the crap and just allowed her to perform by herself. Three of the judges, they being Aleysha, Howie, and Heidi, all gave signals she was the best. Simon, deep down, knew it too but he let business get in the way. I remember reading that more than 60 % of the public thought she was best. When she won NGT, I believe she only garnered 46 or 48% of the total votes to win that competition.

Agreed. Three songs, three standing ovations, no-one could do better.
