Thank you for your reaction Alex, to this cover by Angelina of another Adele song. While young Angelina is capable of handling most any song, with Adele, who is obviously an incomparable artist in her own right, I feel Angelina pays homage to Adele, but given Angelina Jordan's very unique skillset, blues, jazz origins and her very remarkable (perhaps incomparable) range, timing, timbre and set of pipes (in effect her "instrument"), we are always given Angelina's own unique version, the slightly off-beat cadence, the millisecond hesitations, the unbelievable depths of her voice (and the heights as well), trills, vibrato. She is somewhat like, but NOT Adele - she's Angelina. I love Adele, truly she is a remarkable talent who consistently turns out emotional journeys for us. Angelina, I believe, is a musical genius, although she has been doing this for almost 15 years, she is just beginning to show off her very considerable musical talents. I like to watch your reactions, which capture the surprise of almost expecting, yet being completely surprised by her unbelievable talent. "When We Were Young" is just another Adele masterpiece that Angelina adopted, and has made her own. I love Adele, I prefer Angelina's version, probably because of the depth of Angelina's voice, or perhaps it is breadth, from low to high and all that is in-between. She truly loves to cover Adele songs and since they are all heartfelt ballads Angelina simply makes them her own, using the numerous subtle facets of singing made famous by Billie Holiday to find ways of adding more emotion laden penetration to them than Adele's originals which are truly exceptional, but there's only one Angelina and she proves it over and over again.

Alex, every next song will be your favorite! About your desire for her to do the same covers as she gets older, you're not alone. Alex, the albums will be coming out in a wave. There will always be a priority for her to introduce her new music to all of us. But, besides that there has to be albums featuring her singing covers that she did when she was younger, albums with newer covers from long ago, albums featuring all jazz type material. She also has quite a few playlists on you tube and it would be a good idea to make albums of them. And, how about some duet albums? Anything is possible (how about the album with Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett).

I'm assuming she's 13ish here bc she wore the same outfit on AGT with her cover of Bohemian Rhapsody and she was 13 there. If you've not checked that one out, you need to. She's just amazing, and I'm still awed every time I hear her.

The wind's blowing. The clothespins are about to let go of her music. The cute little combo behind her is plunking away. The new pants suit her Grandma designed AND helped her sew is, shall we say, attention grabbing. AND THEN.......PURE, SUSTAINED, RIVETING.........MAGIC.

@geoffreynorth9046 This was a band with rather young musicians so compared to the 3 bands with experienced musicians she had played with before, this band was just OK. A couple of the songs has been slightly cleaned up (when I compare it with my own recordings). At this time, before the AGT success it seemed that it was harder for her to book the best bands.

Yes, Angelina takes on all the great singers, singing their best songs. There are some times when I prefer the original, but most times I like Angelina’s version better. What’s amazing, though, is that Angelina never disappoints. She always is giving us her best. Angelina doesn’t throw away a word or a syllable. You’re listening to every word, and she delivers so beautifully every time.

This was one of the recordings that I discovered three and a half years ago on my own (there weren't many reactions to it at that time) when I first started listening to Angelina that helped convince me that she was the most impressive singer I had ever heard. I'm still convinced.

Believe me, the awe and admiration of Angelina as an artist and humble person never fades. I've just done a calculation and note that I discovered her 9 years 3 months and 26 days ago, when I was 83 years old, and my sense of awe and awareness that she changed my life for the better on 9 March 2014 has never gone away.

Yes, she is courageous in her song choices, never shying away from difficult, even epic songs. She handles them all with such ease, hardly looking like she has to work at it at all. She makes it look effortless. All the while, she is humble and not overacting her singing character. It has always been about conveying the integrity and emotion of the song. No one delivers and elicits emotions like Angelina. Such an elite professional. Good reaction.

Yes -- this is an under-appreciated performance. AJ live is always exceptional. She's covered more Adele songs than any other pop singer (Amy Winehouse is probably a close second). Oh, and your favorite AJ performance is almost always the last one you heard . . . . 😎

I can't tell you how long it will take for you to stop being amazed by Angelina's Voice. I can Only tell you that I'm three years in and I still lose my breath with wonder each time I hear a new song and even on some of the songs I've heard dozen's of times, such as this one! . Ask Andy Schnell or Poolhallshark or another long lime Angel.....

I haven't heard Angelina live myself but from all the reports from those lucky enough to have attended her conerts.... she is amazing and if you've only heard her on recordings.. "you ain't heard nothing yet"... :) I can only imagine how good she sounds live.

Angelina's current concert in Norway was early this year to a sold-out audience, some Fans travel from around the world to hear Angeline sing live. She performed her stand covers, along with her original music. Her adoring (Fans)Angels were overwhelmed seeing how beautiful a young Lady she has become, and the maturity of her voice had the mesmerized hanging on every note! The video and audio were standard quality, However, Angelina sounded great and I can wait for her to come to Las Vegas!

She is everything we promised in the begining. Many vocalists and coaches will tell you that she has much more vocal stability than Adele. She was a pre teen in CRY ME A RIVER.

Angelina really comes alive in an outdoor concert. Here she was so much into the song, it looks like she had forgotten that she was giving a concert... Recorded by Boris Palenovski on a basic camcorder. Being in the audience, as I was last summer, is something that I cant fully describe. The memories of her talking in between the songs and the fellowship of her fans - something you must try to experience.

Adele has made some beautiful songs and Angelina, through her covers has always shown that she loves her, of course she always adds those incredible details that only she has and regularly takes the song to an amazing level, keep in mind that Angelina is 13 here! !! I will never stop stressing it, and it's live with a recording from a mobile phone, simply superb. Alex's wonderful reaction and always be ready, you don't mess with Angelina! Have a good life... This song (and Shield) was the highlights from this concert at Prøysenhuset 2019. We were less than 200 persons attending this concert. The jazz songs in the start of the concert was great, but unfortunately the band struggled later in the concert. Angelina on the other hand was amazing throughout the concert. She later had one concert in the Lofoten Islands in arctic Norway before she left for the US. 6 months later she performed at AGT, and those small concerts with average bands was history...

Angelina is fearless when it comes to choosing songs. She will take on the greats, from any generation and in any genre. A good example would be in her self described "biggest opportunity of my life" on AGT where she tackled , and rearranged, one of the most iconic songs there is - one that coaches and professionals say to never try. It turned out pretty well I think. 😁 And no, Alex, the amazement will never end with her.

Promise: you will be amazed by every song you hear, including the recent songs, no matter it is cover or orginal. And she will always make an arrangement so it suits her own taste, stile and voice, and at the same time have the upmost respect for the orginal song/composition. It is not without reason, that the living members from "Queen" were completely amazed by Angelina's shortened arrangement of 'Bohemian Rhapsody', in AGT-the champions in 2020... I understand that they have offered her all the copyrights of that cover (and maybe that is also the reason she, till now that is, never did the entire song).

Angelina was 13 for this concert in Norway, wearing the outfit she would wear in a few months on America's Got Talent, The Champions. This performance is a prime example of Angelina going deep into her special world while singing and taking us lucky listeners along with her. Quite obvious, after she finishes singing, the applause snaps her back to reality and she becomes a 13 year old girl again, with a huge smile.

Thanks for another good one Alex. Hey everyone..... Is it far fetched to think music producers are paying Angelina to keep out of the mainstream and off of the radio ? Think about it. She would DESTROY the charts. If you add up the hits her songs have on all social media, it's almost a billion. If I added correctly " I put a spell on you" has a little over a hundred million hits by itself. And no radio play ?? That makes sense how ? 🤷🏻‍♂️

For me, no one covers Adele's songs like Angelina; I believe 7 or 8 now. And almost always, I prefer Angelina's version. This is my favorite of all the Adele songs she has covered. She's 13 in this outdoor concert in Norway, about 3 months before her taping of AGT Champions 2 (same outfit). I too, would love to hear her revisit some of the songs she covered when she was younger. However, I'm not sure this song could be performed better by anyone, even a more mature Angelina. If your still reacting to young AJ she Sang "I WILL SURVIVE" at 10 years old ,, she sang a Christmas song for a radio station at 11 years old called "MARYS BOY CHILD" ,, I have to go check to see is you have heard her sing her (Leaked) "STILL HOLDING OUT FOR YOU" ,,, this one will blow your mind she was 10years old on that and went in and recorded that and after it was done there was some discussion about the meaning of the song bing about suicide and her family decided she would not be releasing it, the original song writer decided to go ahead and record his version and someone leaked AJs onto you tube ... AJ sang Unchained Melody at 8years old and then again at 11 years old.. and at 11 she sang "THE FIRST TIME I EVER SAW YOUR FACE",,,,, "ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS" ,,,, and at 8yrs and 10yrs she sang "Silent Night"....

Alex, if you think this sounded good for being recorded on a phone, at least she used a mic and amp. When are you finally going to do some of Angelina's extraordinary work like her Bohemian Rapsidy the AGT version in which she recieved the golden buzzer to start Some of the choices you made or were made for you are not her best preformances by a long shot. She has so much material out there that you need a guide to help you to the best of it.
