I have heard that the origins of this song are unclear. Some say it was called Angeline The Baker while others claim it’s about a girl named Angeline Baker. It doesn’t change that these folks killed this song though!
@ironmatic1 Жыл бұрын
Well it's not about anyone in particular; it was just composed for the minstrel show. But the main idea is character is singing about a slave girl who's been sold.
@joannehack75888 ай бұрын
Perhaps Angeline Baker was indeed a magnificent baker. That’s my story and I’m stickin’ to it

Who would I get for the guitar. Molly Tuttle. Check her out if you don't already know her. You performance, though stands alone. I was dreaming guitar break, which I do because I'm a guitar picker. Keep pickin'. Thanks.

For the female banjo player…what is the open tuning she is using? She is capo Ed in the second fret but what is the open tuning without the capo ?
@philbankester1822 жыл бұрын
She used a standard open G banjo tuning. We played that song in A.

The Petersons?
@oldiesaregoldies35113 жыл бұрын
No, the Banksters. But that family is awesome, not a day goes by without hearing at least one of their songs. Truly The Petersens are a breath of fresh air in these years, and represent the best of Missouri and middle America

Would have been so much better if someone knew the lyrics of the song. I should imagine some one in the band learned by now
