True. As a teen, I initially hated this new direction of Tom’s and was upset at the first Blink breakup. I was solidly on the side of +44 at first, but then I really grew to love AVA over the years. Love them more than current Blink now.

@@jdog167 Well, youtube came in 2005. The 1st MainStream social media. Facebook was early 2007 I believe. Have seen accounts as early as february that year. Social media has massive benefits but all in all it has damaged our societies more than it has done good. So we would have been better off without it. It is also monitored by the CIA. They own every thing you post and all the pics you release. They also make psyche-profiles on the users. I’m sure there’s some auto tune at work in the vocals - Tom might be a bit shaky, but it still takes massive guts to get up there and do that (even if you’ve been in a band as big as blink was), and just imagine being at a show to hear this live for the first time ever - fkn amazing!

It seems like it's the studio vocals mixed with a little of live vocals. When he says certain words you can tell it's from this live recording, but the majority of it is studio vocals

have you heard tom in all of the other live performances of AvA? His vocals are clearly dubbed in this, as it was their first ever performance as a band. they wanted to sounds the best possible ie: what's on the album. You can tell that there is a lot of recordings playing in bass and guitar, as there is guitar when neither are strumming, same with bass.

I know this is old... but for those complaining about it Tom lip syncing, it’s most likely overdubbed and done in post when making this video. I’m sure he actually sang it live

a lot of times, the band tells the audience that due to them being...such and such they use some recordings. and other times, since this was BEFORE the album came out, they just turn down the mic and instruments down a lot, so you can't really tell. Like, they would actually sing and play, but no one can hear THEM, they hear a louder dubbed over version playing out of the amps that the mic and guitars are plugged into

It's mixed and overrdubbed... Tom is a 50/50 shot at sounding right. Generally he needs his voice synthesized - or put through pitch-correction software.

The vocals sounded like that I think to make a good impression to start. But during this time Tom could still sing great. Now eh not so much I feel he could sing better but he doesn't. He sings better also when a guitar isn't in his hands.
