As a 67 year old fan I am gratified to see grown men brought to tears by Su and Moa's performance - it means I'm not the only one! There is something otherworldly about the power and longing in Su's voice that reaches into my soul to a place that hasn't been touched in years. And I am so grateful for it.

According to MOA, recording of this song began over five years ago. YUI was also a member at that time. The three girls in the chorus wearing white capes that appear in the middle of the song may symbolize BABYMETAL at that time... The three girls' backs.... Makes me cry.... 😭. I feel happy for the miraculous time that BABYMETAL exists now 😊.

SU has all the piercing clarity required to deliver amazing vocals through a wall of thunderous guitars, bass, double kick drums, and whatever the hell else exists in an arena of metal. You strip all of that noise away though and its just THAT voice shooting emotional lyrics straight into your heart. It's almost too pure a hit. It's almost too perfect.

This is real singing. Just listen to Su's voice and watch her technique, Combine it wtih her talent and you got a unique voice of a unique singer. I could rant about this for a long time but i stop here. Great reaction Shaun and think of it, who is in the third hoodie at the end? You know what i think. 🥰🦊🤘

Totally agree. Even stripped down they brought the show. Between Su and Moa's facial expressions and then the three in white when they hold hands. The sheer tenderness of this song shines. I said it before Koba=genius

I feel like this is a very rare peek into her technique because the videos of their concerts and music videos tend to be fast paced or edited to cut every second. It's nice to see something slow and focused.

It is really impressive how good she's become. The album is coming by the end of march and this is not the latest drop until then. We have probably a second First Take performance and the last single before the album coming.

Welcome back to BabyMetal's metalverse 🦊🤘🌐 We shouldn't be surprised about this new version because they already did this in the past, but somehow they always manage to give us this warm feeling with every new song and version. This clip is getting attraction for new reactors and hopefully this new side of BM will get many more new fans. Love this Piano version, last time we got a new version was "The One - Stairway To Living Legend", another beautiful ballad. I wonder who might be the extra backing chorus dressed in white, maybe they're teasing the third new member? Then Momoko-Metal is getting close.🍑 If any that could also be the new BM mirror unit from another world of this metalverse. OTFGK Thanks for sharing this and see you next time.🦊🤘🌈

I always thought that Su is a great vocalist, but this shocked me anyway .. even when I watch reactions to this song, I always get goosebumps or tears in my eyes. Just pure perfection 🦊❤👑

my exact reaction, I cried in awe of her voice. To me, she is an angel from heaven. I've never felt so much emotion from a voice. Angel is the only thing I can say to understand how this is possible

Why does this guy make me think of Sean Bean mixed with Wolverine!? I mean that in the best of ways. Love this version of the song. Queen Su puts her all into this song and you can see the emotion on her face. I unfortunately only discovered BM this year and I wish I had found them 10 years ago. Their music has a way of lifting you up and making your day better. I will definitely watch more of your videos.

Su’s angel/devil voice seemes to possess a kind of FORCE with a deffinite audio-neuro control mechanism (reminds me of the Voice used in Dune). For when you carelessly happened to hear her singing at work, you have to train to become more resistant to the effects of her irresistable Voice, or your colleagues may be concerned about your teary eyes!

You will always see Sumetal and Moametal perform Babymetal songs. Suzuka Nakamoto and Moa Kikuchi are pushed to the background. It's how they manage to keep this mystique. Their private lives and looks are pretty much just that, private. If they were here in the western clown world , they probably wouldn't even exist anymore. Pretty sure there are fans who saw them in street but respect and didn't come close too. Also something like stalky photos and videos took without Su&Moa permission will be banned in most fan communties

There are photos of them in casual clothes but they are rare, if they are working they will always be in costume but rehearsals and when they are traveling etc they just wear normal clothes. It is interesting to see their styles, or at least when they were young, they aren't what you would think.

I had actually cried when i heard that song on the concert. Unbelievable emotions went through me when the whole stadion got their flashlight on in the smartphones. Looked like true monochrome hanabi's.

@@paulbroady4141 I’m not 100%, but it looks like the pattern is that you do one new song and one “classic”, so I’d expect an older one if there is a second video. I couldn’t begin to guess which song, or what the arrangement would be, though. Having said all this, Babymetal have always been difficult to predict, so who knows what will happen?

The song like this hits every emotion up to the end, like someone else has said and I agree. And I think it's the way Su's voice starts up from maybe a little shakey, going into power mode. Beautiful

It's everything about this song. Su's range, Moa's delicate but intricate parts and then finally the 3 in white, when they hold hands is the crusher. Koba is a genius

Su is from Hiroshima, when u put that into context of the song and lyrics(and even way more the music video) this song has both a dark and beautiful meaning. Monochrome firework becomes a beautiful if terrifying way to describe a nuke.

Thanks for this reaction. I was hoping you would do this particular First Take appearance. Very nice. The First Take is pretty good. If you can find the time you might want to check out The First Take appearances of Kep1er and Niziu, among others. Each group contributed two songs (Make You Happy and Blue Moon for Niziu and Wa Da Da and Wing Wing for Kep1er). A lot of Japanese singers and some Kpop groups have made their way there.

Yep, the moment this performance was announced, I also had the feeling that this could be an important milestone. And boy, did this performance make an impression and still does every time I hear it. I can only recommend you to keep an eye on TFT's channel, as he has already brought forth some very impressive performances. This version of the song just brought me to tiers. Only other version of a Babymetal song that is this pure and emotional is "Akatsuki" unfinished ver. done only once live and I can't remember if you have reacted to but if you haven't it's a MUST. You'll love it. 🤟🦊🤟

Well I’m going to get in trouble here. On a scale of 1-10 there are only four bands that come anywhere near a 10 of the fifteen to twenty I regularly listen to. Of course the problem I have is Babymetal ranks a 15 and skews the curve. . I’m not trying to disparage any of the other bands who I absolutely adore, but credit is due where excellence lives. ❤️🦊.

This was an amazing performance that really showcases not only how powerful Su's voice is, but also the subtlety and technical skill she possesses. I already knew she was insanely good, but this performance was something else. In answer your question, you only ever see Babymetal in costume and in character if it's an official public appearance. Koba is always very careful to curate and manage everything we see and hear from Babymetal so that it all contributes to the narrative and mystique around them. Very occasionally, a small bit of video will pop up of them in some other setting, but those are usually leaked or taken in a public place where someone recognized them.

I've seen several people say they are in character even for The First Take, but I beg to differ. Su may be dressed as Su-metal, but the way she acts here is 100% Su. I see the same Su as back in ASH 2007-2011. Just look at 6:32 in this video, I swear I've seen that look on her face and wagging motion before.

I agree 100% with your observation and we agree on the exact moment it happens . As I posted on another channel, for a brief moment 25 year old Su-Metal become 15 year old Suzuka Nakamoto. Really a touching and heart warming glimpse of something special. Impressive observation.

👍 👍 I agree this feels like something special. A turning point perhaps. One thing I believe is that people who are fans of The First Take Channel and are tuning in but have no idea who BabyMetal will be n for a big surprise, become curious and possibly explore their music catalog leading to an expansion of the BabyMetal kingdom.

Yeah, there's only 1 singer in this video. Su. NO! You, just like most reactors you ignore Moa (and Yui when she was still in the group). Yes. Su is the Queen, she's amazing! But Moa is an amazing singer in her own right. Go watch Headbanger, the Moa version. Unbelievable.
