Thomas has said in an interview that the Elizabeth trilogy is the work for which he is most proud. As one listens to the three pieces flow seamlessly into one another, the power, emotion and tension, you can see why he feels this way. A masterpiece of which he should be proud!

I just wish they would play it live again...or any of The Fourth Legacy. None of those songs are performed any more and I know Tommy has the range for them.

@@thomasgriffith3949 I've never listened to Tommy getting such notes live, I think not even recorded... Even if he could, I think he lacks the theatricality a Song as 'Elizabeth" recquires, so it could be the reason... I don't know, I'm just guessing, they must have a reason... Perhaps they want to leave those masterpieces untouched, there are a couple other iconic Khan songs that Tommy hasn't ever performed (at least that I know).

One thing I would love is if they would re-release Karma, Epica and The Black Halo with a stronger mix on the kick drums and bass guitar. I guess I would also throw Silverthorn in for boosting the kick drums. Bass guitar sound is high enough in silverthorn as it drowns the low frequencies of the kick sometimes. I can barely hear them in Karma with a 12" subwoofer behind my seat.

See, this performance shows you what a true vocalist is. It's not about range wanking. The endurance this man has vocally, the fact that he can sing this properly live, his breath control, the way he can go into that beautiful falsetto from mix, back into mix, and then start belting at the start like it's nothing, his overall technique/skill, and the way he expresses each note is why Roy Khan is a god and so unique.

I'd say symphonic metal, with elements of power, progressive and gothic metal all mingled together. But they're all just labels, doesn't really matter. This song is beautiful, and Khan's performance is beyond stellar. My favourite live performance of all time, how I wish I could have been there.

No one knows how much I want to meet Roy Khan. He has such an amazing voice. THIS is what I call talented, well thought out and orchestrated music.

I should clarify, "rumours," during the time which Countess Bathory lived it was believed that a woman could never kill out of malice or murderous intent. As such it was deemed that she killed due to some greater desire for vanity. Which lead to "bathing in blood to keep eternally young."

Right there with you Andres....discovered them only two weeks ago and I feel the same way....can't get enough....Roy's voice is outstanding....the closest comparison might be Geoff Tate of Queensryche....ordered a DVD of there's two days ago....can't wait for it's arrival! It seems these groups I've been discovering lately though no longer have there original singer....that sucks but at least we have some great recordings from the past.
