An Islamist group says it is planning to hold a demonstration in Wootton Bassett, where the bodies of dead soldiers are repatriated.

I'm 43 and am sick to the back teeth of being told that I am a second class citizen in my own country. If you're a Muslim, fine, I respect your choice of religion (even though I'm an atheist). But you or your family came to Britain at some point, so fuck off trying to make us, the indigenous population, drop our heritage and accept the fact that we should accommodate your every whim. It's a card you can play when things aren't going your way and it's cheap. If you want to live in Britain, at least show us the same courtesy that you demand of us - Respect for tradition.

+Nobby Nolevel Absolutely correct. None of these islamists can pretend they didn't know that the UK isn't a muslim country before they came here. Time and time again they have demanded this, demanded that and they have got their way. Birmingham City Council ordered market traders to remove the Union Flag from their stalls during the first Gulf War in case it "offended the muslims' - just over a mile away there's a huge mosque with Saddam Hussain's name plastered across the front of it - of course, that doesn't offend us, does it? Street decorations in December were in celebration, not of Christmas, but of something called "Winterfal" - there are towns in the UK where the "ethnic minority" is white British.

NotOnMyWatchUK You are right in relation to Anjem Choudray. He is merely a practitioner of the Islamic faith, with a bigger mouth than most. The Government will not ban him because they would also have to ban the material he sources his information from, namely the Quran.

With regards to `ghettos` I have asked several Friends of mine in areas like Mosside...why have we Brits ambled into this self inflicted apartheid? The response was...People feel more comfortable with others like themselves.

I think you`ll find that in the Victoria era, those people who were poor were not educated and were treated badly by the ruling class. We had work houses, living conditions were disgraceful. The monied Industralists treated workers like scum. People moan about how bad the English were but for some unknown reason...many do not say how bad it was for the English themselves.

I'm Polish, came to Britain 5 years ago to look for better life, my daughter was born here, i got married while here, have loads of friend from all around the world. But when I look at that i'm wondering why these people have a right to do it, they came here , very often didn't worked a single day, relay on state benefits and still disrespect welcoming of HEROES at their home land. Britain isn't a proud multicultural country any more, it's a country scared to give a kick to extremism and terror

This upsets me greatly:( As a white british man that has fought against rasism for the past 20 years i fear that this will do much more harm than good for the cause. all you will do is place yourselves in the same box as the BNP and the EDL...and alienate many of the familys that have lost loved ones.. i don't disagree with your right to march as i've marched with many different races against racism in my time........but don't do it there....do it outside parliment!!

ALIZ I also worked my time off in the public service! I will also forget difference! As said I am not a religeous person! I do think there is an afterlife! I am still unsure though what it all means! I also am very upset when I see the soldiers coming homein a body bag! I am 42 years old! I still respect whoever I am talking to though unless they are rude and swear at me! You and I have found a common base! We have found understanding and respect! Regards and respect to you!

I got really depressed reading about this and the sad state this country has got into. Really depressed and feeling suicidal I phoned the Samaritans and got transfered to a call centre in Deli... they got really excited when they thought I was suicidal and asked if I could fly a plane..!

@jackwilshiresfakeid We have come a long long way from those days. We could even call those days `teething` problems. What you have to accept is prior to those days. The British had been through 2 WW and had through sheer grit, got through those dark times. Suddenly vast immigration and people were frightend. Compare that to today`s immigration fiasco. Many Asians now feel that concern for their livliehoods. I know this, many have told me this.You forgot `No Travellers`. as well.

TheInfidelicious Thats a highly far fetched claim that has no basis - there are according to estimates over 1.6 Bn Muslims worldwide - how many of them (SIGNIFICANT??) do you claim are represented by Hizb ut Tahrir? let alone Anjem Choudry? & how many of the UK's 1.5m Muslims do you claim Anjem Choudry speaks for & represents? Its easy to make spectacular claims - but when held to the light they are just that - spectacular claims.

Hang on a minute. Why are our servicemen and women being paraded here instead of their hometowns? I guess this saves money. Imagine giving up your life for your country and not being brought to your proper "home". Perhaps i dont know the whole story and they return home after this?

This is bad news in soooo many ways. It's disrespectful, an attack of English people from the Islamic community and by them doing this means that Wootton Bassett may be a prime place to attack if things turn into a war!! This is the wrong kind of place to do so! Fair enough that people are entitled to free speech etc, but something like this should be respected in England. Respect the dead!!!!! Grrr, makes me angry and saddened.

They have very valid opinions which are misdirected at soldiers rather then the government. Their way of protesting this is very wrong though.

Well it is true...The Irish did stay neutral. They refused point blank to take in jewish children before and after the war. They allowed Nazis entry after the war, giving them new identity papers.

What you have not considered is this. In those days there was very little invested in public housing. People were living in over crowded squaler many of them. People were informed, these Asians would be a priority on the public housing list....Naturally people objected. Yet again....divide and rule...create tentions. Do not invest in housing projects. The list is long.

To all those who use swear words in their responses! I agree with you in sentiment in anger! How about thinking it is better to not swear and actuallly put your points accross in better and more clever and insulting ways? For instance "breed more pigs and they will be put off from coming here" or "we pay you to have 10 children"etc! Its much more effective and it makes them very angry little fleas! Be dignified, it makes them a lot angrier and gives us grounds to deport them! Think about it!
